Inhaler change from Seretide to Fostair Next
Have been changed to fostair Nexthaler 3 days ago from Seretide 125. At the moment my asthma is worse. Just wondering how long it takes to work when you change inhalers? Also, already had leg cramp last night. Doesn't bode well!

Inhalers
I’ve got Asthma and Bronchiectasis and I’m having problems finding an inhaler which works for me. I was on Seretide 250 for years but after two particularly bad chest infections my breathing deteriorated, courses of steroids helped slightly and I was given Spiriva Respimat and after a few days I had

Had anyone tried Mullein tea and black seed oil for asthma?
Has anyone here, living with asthma or copd, tried drinking Mullein tea daily and taking black seed oil daily? It seems to have really helped shift mucus on my chest and therefore helped my breathing considerably. Mucus and crackling sounds when I exhaled we’re always a problem and always used to block

getting Q-var (or other inhalers) online
Has anyone tried ordering qvar (or other inhalers) online for the full price, to speed things up when GPs are non-responsive? If yes, can you recommend a pharmacy? I found a a web site ("independent pharmacy") which had Qvar 100 for about £40. They gave me the usual asthma assessment questionnaire ("

pillow with built-in HEPA filter for dust mite asthma
Hi all -- Just wanted to share today's project. It's a wacky idea, but who knows, might be useful for someone, as it worked for me. This is to manage dust mite allergy while sleeping (relatively) comfortably. Previously, I was using waterproof camping sacks stuffed with fleece blankets. Inflatable pillows

Sinusitis link to asthma
Hi, just wondering do many people on here suffer with periodic sinusitis also. I've been ill lately (got a negative PCR Covid result) with a lot of congested airways (initially nose, now feel mucus at back of throat), fatigue and very sore throat. Didn't visit my GP in the end as they wouldn't see me

Peak flow increased by inhalers
I've had asthma all my life and more recently got referred to a specialist due to my asthma being not controlled. The doctor has been amazing and I feel my asthma has been taken seriously. I used to take seretide 2 puffs twice a day, and ventolin when needed. My peak flow used to be at my very best 360

Swapping inhalers soon after asthma flare up
Hello, I had a fairly bad asthma flare up yesterday and am still very rough. I have been prescribed Pred and the specialist has recommended changing my inhaler from Seretide which does not seem to be working to Symbicort 200/6. Is it safe to start on the new one when still unwell? Thank you in advance

Mattress for dust mite-induced asthma
Hi all, May I ask those who have bad dust mite-induced asthma to share their know-hows for dust mite-proofing their sleep? I am particularly interested in alternatives to those "dust-mite proof" coverings for mattresses (those never worked for me). For example, are there "inherently" dust-mite proof

taking seretide (advair) and Qvar together
Hi all -- Has anyone's GP or specialist ever OKed the use of Qvar and Seretide together? I've been taking Seretide 500/50 during the current exacerbation and for the last year. It kept me alive, but not enough to work and live a normal life. 3 days ago, out of desperation, I started using Qvar100 as

I am powerless
I don't know what can help me. Inhalators are not helping me with my asthma. I tried Fostair, Symbicort, Seretide, Flutiform, Spiriva respimat. Nothing helps me. I have to take ventolin 2-4 times a day. I have shortness of breath and my chest is wheezing. Two days ago I had a meeting with a consultant

Seretide and spiriva respimat
I have been taking seretide 250 for three months. Today my doctor prescribed an additional spiriva respimat inhaler. Do any of you also have such a set of inhalers and after how long did your asthma improve? Thanks in advance for all answers.

I have been taking seretide inhaler for sometime now and the hospital nurse changed it to Symbicort 2 puffs twice daily with the option to take extra doses . I don’t if it’s the new inhaler but my asthma is now getting worse and I am having lots of attacks and coughing up loads more . I rang the hospital

Switch to MART fostair from seretide
Having been on seretide 250mg for a good few years, as well as added in spiriva respimat, fexofenadine, montelukast and nasal spray (recent change to dymista), have been switched onto fostair 100/6 MART. According to my plan, its 2 puffs twice daily, plus an extra 4 as and when. This change was made
