I’m currently using seretide 125 inhaler , I’m finding my breathing hasn’t been great over last 6 months of using it ,,,I used to have fostair which was good until I contracted covid ,,, I’m thinking of going back to fostair see if it helps ,I’d appreciate advice from anyone who’s had similar issues ,,,thanks

You'd have to talk to your GP. I was on Seretide which caused problems and did no good, but I'm fine on Fostair, but mine is only 1 example. If you get no satisfaction ask to see a consultant.

I was changed to fostairnexthaler 100/6 after my seretide not helping a lot. The particles in fostair are smaller and go deeper into the lung according to the respiratory doctor I saw. I have been fine since taking fostair. I would say you need to speak with your consultant or doctor x

HI Truckerclark,

I used to be on Seretide and started on 125 of Seretide and when it wasn't as effective my Asthma nurse increased it to 250 Seretide. You can have up to 2 puffs twice a day but I initially found 1 puff twice a day did the job.

Hope this is helpful..Good

Hi Truckerclark

In the end I didn't go on to Seretide. I'm now on an Invesco 80 ciclesonide inhaler. This contains only a low dose steroid, to reduce inflammation in the lung. It isn't one of the combined steroid/bronchodilator inhalers, which I couldn't tolerate. If you're having problems with a combined inhaler I would ask about a steroid-only inhaler.

Best wishes
