I use my Seretide inhaler twice a day and just carry a bricanyl inhaler as an emergency one while I am out. This works well for me and has done for the past 10+ yrs. I find the powder one which does not blast the medicine into the back of your throat is a big advantage.

If I am ill and strugling with my breathing I can take 2 doses twice s day to keep it under control. I hope that helps.

I am also on seretide 250 and take 4 puffs a day.(2 in the morning and 2 at night). I have been taking thus dose for many years and it works well for me.

I wouldn't increase the dosage without consulting your GP/ consultant as taking a large amount of steroids has side effects.

Hope this helps

I was told the same but only for 5 days .unfortunately I was taken off of it due to our local chest clinic wanting people on more modern drugs like Fostair (I had been on it since it came on the market)
