Hrt obstetric aps
Hi I would like some info on hrt and Aps. In 2015 I lost a baby at 5mths pregant (after 3 sussesful pregnancies) I was advised by my local nhs hospital it would be ‘ one of those things’ so I sought private testing. I had a private aps test done in London about a week after my loss which was normal.

Covid-19: rough morning
Hi all, We had a rough morning today. Dad’s heart went into a-fib, and he is still bleeding from his bladder. He is on heparin because he is still hypercoagulable so we are in this catch22- his blood is so thin that the bleed won’t stop, but we cant stop the heparin or else he will clot again. He

Progesterone injections
Hi warriors so I’m still passing clots and bleeding and cramping so still extremely nervous and though I was told baby is ok today I’m terrified. Please hold my bean in your prayers 🙏🏼 Also wanted to ask: my doctor took me off pessaries (utrogestan progesterone tabs) and changed it to progesterone

Covid19 is starting to remind me of CAPS
Has anyone else seen the resemblance of severe covid19 to catastrophic Antiphospholipid syndrome? High D dimer, pulmonary embolism, kidney and liver failure with high cytokine Storm. Treatments are similar as well. Plasma, monoclonal antibodies, HCQ and now most recent success stories include anticoagulant

Does Eliquis affect APS test results?
Hi everyone, I'm currently recovering from my second DVT in 9 months and am on Eliquis. I've had low positive Igg anti cardiolipin tests in the past, but had negative ones since. Today I got my results back and they are 35 Igg anticardiolipin and 1:160 ANA speckled . Can Eliquis cause false positives

Nocturnal Dialysis Problems
Well, I've finally started nocturnal dialysis and much to my chagrin it is not what I thought it would be. It is torture. The first couple of dialysis sessions were only two hours long and were uneventful and went by rather pleasantly. However, I'm now doing twice a week, nocturnal dialysis (6 hours

Sea Cucumber blocks selectin mediated metastasis
while researching untoward effects of needle seeding after biopsy I stumbled onto this article https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3402858/ seems A fucosylated chondroitin sulfate (FucCS) from sea cucumber is 4–8 fold more potent than heparin in the inhibition of LS180 carcinoma cell attachment

Hi everyone I’m new to this community. I’m wondering if anyone is having slight breathing problems when having a cold after having PE twice.
I had unprovoked pulmonary embolism in September 2016 ,treated with 3 months of heparin injections. In July 2017 I had another one. Now I’m on lifelong Warfarin. My life /lungs never been the same again. When it was diagnosed I had shortness of breath on any physical activity. I don’t smoke, never did

Losing ground on movement or my mind...my rant, sorry it's long.
Over the last four months, I was very confident and motivated in my physio. I had serious orthopedic damage to my leg as a child so I know it has to come from inside me. I have to do it. I had built up a bit and was finally walking a mile every morning before noon and getting an hour of vestibular, balance

APS & Severe Diverticulosis? or anything similar
Has anyone experienced or come across severe Diverticulosis or anything similar in relation to APS? I was as diagnosed with APS in 2012 following series of DVTs and it's been manged with Warfarin within an INR range of 3.0 to 4.0. Have manged this well well until last year when my INR fell below 3.0

MY wine with warfarin
I like my nightly wine and would try and reduce but this affects my INR and back on Heparin injections Still working physically way past retirement which does not help. Am fortunate to have a local surgery with two super nurses who monitor my INR and are very helpful to accommodate my appointments around

Heparin for APs?
Hi, I was diagnosed with APS after a stroke. I’ve been on clopidogril aspirin and mepacrine (was in hydroxichloroquine but reacted horrendously so was transferred into mepacrine which does wonders!) The consultant and I have been discussing heparin trial to see if this alleviates my headache, blurred
