After Lupron I have been having seizures
Hi, In December 2023 I decided to finally undergo treatment for my prostate cancer, Gleason scale 6, with a high PSA of 63 (or 48 on another test) I had had this cancer for eight years WITHOUT it spreading. But doctors kept warning (I would almost say harassing) me, so... I underwent one shot of lupron

I’m 73 and been feeling extra tired recently, otherwise fit and well. I thought the tiredness might be caused by Keppra a drug I take for epilepsy, I’m also on statins … but anyway the GP did a blood test, the Serum Alanine transaminase was ‘out of range’ at 54 u/l. I’ve always been a drinker but stick

Hello, My son has recently been prescribed Zonisamide. His epilepsy has not been controlled with other drugs although both Lamotrigine and Oxcarbazepine kerbed tonic clonic seizures. Introduced to Keppra and tonic clonic returned...so now suggested to stop Keppra and introduce Zonisamide. On low dose

I started with tonic clonic seizures in 2006 but was put on carbamazepine and ever since then I only had focal aware seizures. I changed medication to keppra about 2 years ago to be safer for pregnancy and I

Possible relapse, trouble seeing Rheumatologist.
Hi, I have not posted in quite some time. Read other's mostly, and since I have been in remission for 7-8 years I have not had much I could add to conversation. I was diagnosed with GPA in 2015. Put on pred and mycophenolate initially, then two rounds of rituximab. I have been med free since 2016

TLE and weakness
I have temporal lobe epilepsy, shrunken hippocampus and mesial temporal sclerosis, all on the right side of my brain. Would this the cause of weakness in my right leg? Also I've noticed lately, that this bitterly cold weather seems to affect my right side. Awaiting a report from a recent mri (19th Nov

Epilim and folate / change to lamotrigine ?
I was put on Epilim in my teens. Some years later, I became symptom free, and I was unmedicated for 10 years. I had to go back on Epilim Chrono five years ago - which may have been triggered by my thyroid problems. I’ve been on the thyroid forum, where it transpires that I am short on folate. A quick

Cenobamate experience
After an increase in seizure frequency my consultant is talking about changing me from keppra + lamotragine to Keppra + Cenobamate. The only review I can find of Cenobamate are on drugs.com. It does tend to attract negative reviews. The consensus seems to be that it works for epilepsy, but the side
