The best definition I have found re. TEA is on Wikipedia. I’m involved in a number of organisations and organise events and participate in performances before an audience etc, etc. I have great difficulty remembering names, social events that I’ve attended in the recent past yet I can have clear recall of events decades ago. Post it notes and notes on my iPhone a feature of my life, coping strategies. Very little if anything about T. E. A. on this forum. I have had nocturnal seizures resulting in surgery to pin joints together and I was unable to drive for twelve months. Keppra twice daily is preventing physical seizures but short term memory can often be wiped clear which I’m aware of eg I know him/her but can’t remember the name despite being told a few minutes ago. This occurs whilst interacting with the person on quite complex matters.

would welcome observations/advice.

I have severe gaps in my memory from all my life but I have had epilepsy all my life and the gaps in my memory come from periods of time where I have had a lot of seizures! I am 36 now and I really struggle so would advise to remember to do daily tasks to set alarms and reminders wherever you can and get other people to remind you as well! Also you may find that the speed that you process information slows over time as mine has severely! Be prepared to have to get people to speak in slow simple sentences and make sure they are prepared to repeat them to you if you need it as you may find that you need this over time because your epilepsy may decrease your cognitive ability as well!
