Confused - why are my antibodies still so high?
I've recently had blood test and pleased the T3 level has started to go up. However, I don't understand what makes the antibodies rise. I'm strictly gluten free, all vitamins are optimal including Vitamin D, B12, Folate. Supplementing with selenium, vitamin C, B12, Folate, K2, Vitamin D, Magnesium. When

Best brand of Selenium ACE in UK
I have been recommended Selenium ACE by Thorne or Seeking Health as the best brands. Neither of these seems to be readily available in the UK. Does anyone know where they can be obtained or suggest good alternatives which are available in the UK? As a stop-gap I've got Selenium ACE from Boots. Thanks

Latest results !?!?
I have had a couple of Blue Horizon tests. Thought I’d try a medi checks test and pay for RT3. Interesting. Although for some reason they don’t think I have Hashimoto’s which makes me doubt ALL of their results because every other test says I have ! I would be grateful for comments. I am having another

The DIRT connection to PD. Too funny.
I was researching magnesium and neurological disease when I came across this recently published study. There's nothing here to improve our lot, BUT I just thought it slightly funny to think the dirt in my back yard may be helping or hurting my condition. The study I linked below found a correlation

Thyroid Eye Disease & Prednisone | light at the end of the tunnel? :(
I have been diagnosed with TED by my endo and she has put me on a short course of 20mg of prednisone and referred me to a ted eye specialist. (i am also taking selenium, cut out gluten and have eye drops). This came 2 weeks after an RAI scan (where they use a tiny bit of iodine) and this apparently

Natural remedies?
Hi all, recently been posting on the Prostate Cancer forum, but wanted to ask a question here with those folks who've had more experience and more knowledgable with this disease then myself. Quick stats: Age 42, had a suspicious MRI that found something around my prostate. PSA is 0.33, normal size

Hypo, hashi and needing exercise advise please.
So I’m hypo and have Hashimoto. Antibodies are 280 ( I only found out I was hashi recently, from this forum) I’ve been hypo for many years. I had a blood test last week having NOT taken my thyroid drugs, and it’s massively different! Free T3 was 9.5 in Jan TSH was 1.08 Free T4 < 3.2 ( because I didn

Magnesium benefits in PD as Oral and Topical Application
Magnesium has many healthful benefits for PWPs and others with health issues. The right dose of the right type of magnesium can help alleviate constipation and magnesium is healthy for the body in general. It can help with aches and pains, muscle strains, muscle cramps, stiff neck and can be very helpful

Dear All, This is my first post on here but have previously posted on PA. Have been SI b12 for 4 months. Original symptoms of shortness of breath, fatigue, mouth sores, irritability, balance problems and swimming head. Last two symptoms have been helped by b12 but shortness of breath now a real problem

Boost T3 conversion by up to 61%
Some US medics have shown recently that using vitamins A K And D have boosted T3 conversion by up to 61%. This work interests me as I have started a new version of a high quality vitamin pill with much higher doses of D3 and includes K. It also includes chelate selenium and zinc in sensible levels.

Where from here? With high levels of antibodies but ok T4, T3 and THS functions, but all the symptoms of Hashimotos
Just got off of phone from lovely GP who wrote to endocrinology for advice on my increasing antibody levels ( two private blood tests in three months showing significant increase) and therefore increase in my symptoms. Endocrinology consultant of course stated that my antibodies do not cause the symptoms

5 months post thyroidectomy
Well I’d known what i know now, i would never have let them remove my thyroid. What a roller coaster. Up and down bad anxiety, or depression, struggling to grow my nails. So many things I can’t eat, as affect absorption of levythroxine. Got flu for 5 weeks. And the worst worst thing my energy levels,

Antioxidants - Pro-oxidants.
It's common to reconsider diet following a cancer diagnosis. Perhaps give up foods touted as pro-cancer & load up on those thought to be protective. As though what we should have been eating before, is what we should be eating henceforth. But what if the cancer likes the new diet? It's widely accepted
