Latest Blood work - High Antibodies. Opinions?
Hi Folks, So I've been on a real roller coaster over the past 6 months with my Thyroid (The winter has been hell) on Levo so approx. 8 weeks ago I decided to try a mix of NDT and Levo to try and mimic a normal working thyroid. (Recommended from tiredthyroid.com) I'm currently on 50mcg Levo and 1 grain

Smokers.
The subject of smoking & PCa tends not to come up, but I imagine that many men my age (70) or older are ex- or current smokers. I am using the appearance of a new study as an excuse to write about cadmium, zinc & selenium. In 2015, an Italian-U.S. meta-analysis [1] led by Dr. Stephen Freedland reported

Advice on what to ask Dr Toft
Hi I'm seeing Dr Toft next week. Looking for advice on questions to ask etc as I tend to go into gibberish mode. After seeing my recent results he said my levels were excellent! He doesn't seem concerned re my high antibodies and had spoken to my GP about stopping my T3. I'm struggling with swallowing

Vitamin level results, Hashimoto’s.
Morning, Can the experts just let me know if my vitamin levels are ok. I have Hashimoto’s and I’m on 100mcg of Levothyroxine with a blood test (early morning) planned in a few weeks for an increase. I’m feeling better, but, I’m not 100%, still cold, worn out in the mornings despite sleeping right

New results. Dose adjustment? Reason for macrocytosis?
Hi Everyone, My husband would really appreciate any wisdom on his latest results. He's been on NDT for the last seven months, gradually increasing the dose. Currently on 1.5 Thyrogold a day. I think this makes 75ug of T4 plus 19ug of T3. He was on Naturethroid but problems with supply and then a new

Mark Moyad & testosterone replacement, etc.
Mark Moyad & Stephen Auerbach, MD, chatting about testosterone [T] replacement after PCa, below [1]. (I know that some here are using T.) Moyad has been around for a long while & many here will know of him. In the past I have questioned some of his opinions, but looking through the 59 papers he has

Would you give me thyroid meds with these results?
Hi, I've just had an appointment with an endo and he told me to go back to my GP as my symptoms are not related to underactive thyroid - he said he only looks at TSH and would only consider meds if it was over 7 and that all other thyroid markers are irrelevant. Can anyone take a look at my most recent

What to expect?
So after my recent blood tests done on medichecks I visited my doctor. He decided to run some more tests which I don’t have the results of, but my antibodies were still high and my ferritin level although in range low. He’s put me on iron 3 times a day and referred me to see an endocrinologist. I’m just

Hello, Could anyone private message me online sources for purchasing T3 please. My bloods repeatedly show conversion problems with levothyroxine treatment only. I have had a dosage increase of levothyroxine very recently so will retest everything again in a few weeks just to be sure and then possibly

Hi all. As per first post I am newly diagnosed with Hashimotos. I take 125 mcg Levo, still have fatigue, muscle aches, eczema. Any idea when this will improve. I had my dose increased 3 weeks ago and I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2013 before the Hashimotos was found. I seem to have a bit of rheumatism

Supplements advice.
Hi, I’m currently supplementing vitamin D3, K2, magnesium citrate and selenium+zinc. I take my levothyroxine in the morning. Then I take vitamin D3 and K2 after my lunch. For magnesium citrate, I take it after my dinner. I just wonder when is the best/right time to take my selenium + zinc ?

Levothyroxine not agreeing with me
Hi everybody, I think I am in the minority but Levothyroxine does not agree with me. My GP has agreed to trial me without it to see what my levels are like and whether these symptoms do disappear. This hasn’t been taken lightly. I have slowly weaned off the tablets over a period of a month and have

Iodine and selenium testing in Uk- worth the fight?
Hi all, So recently I feel like I may actually be iodine deficient and because of hashimotos I have actively been avoiding it in supplements and my diet is prob low in it too. I always crave fish and seafood and wonder if this is more a biological craving for iodine possibly. I’ve also been supplementing

I Have Low T3 and recently suffered terrible leg pain before my leg collapsed. Could this be linked?
I have been tested for potential hypothyroidism with the following results: TSH of 1.9 (normal range 0.3 - 4.7) T4 of 15.6 (normal range 9.5 - 21.5) T3 of 3.5 (normal range 3.5 - 6.5). My endo has described this low T3 as "biochemically not meaning very much when accompanied by normal range FT4 and
