My latest blood test results - is everything now normal?
I was newly diagnosed as Hashi's in January/February this year (blood results previously posted) but not put on any medication because my TSH after a second test became in range. The only problem then was my deficient Vitamin D3 which has now been corrected with a prescription from the GP of Invita

Alternative thyroid medication
Does anyone have any experience with Swanson Thyroid Glandular or Natural Sources Raw Thyroid? I have felt rubbish on Thyroxine for years. Had all the usual vitamins tested and bloods ok so I asked my GP about trying an alternative to Thyroxine. She referred me to an endo because she wasn’t allowed to

Zinc
Good morning to all, I have bought beta-glucan supplements that have 10mg of zinc and 55ug of selenium per dose, but now I have read that zinc increases aggressive prostate cancer. Do you know what is true about this? Is zinc harmful in these doses for someone with our situations? Thank you all!

iodine
I have Hashi, high TG antibodies. My urine iodine level is 1. Optimal is 100-200. Can I take iodine without creating a flareup? I have started to take organic iodine 231 mcg with 200mcg Selenium. Thanks for your thoughts.

Dr Peatfield Appointment
I know there have been many posts about Dr Barry Peatfield, but none of them are very recent.. After lots of procrastinating, I am due to see him in a couple of weeks. I am underactive, and spent the last 5 months on Thybon Henning 20mcg twice a day. This is after a few years of various strengths of

Helpful guide to hashimotos
I was trying to understand hashimotos antibodies a bit more, and found this article. It’s a bit of an idiot’s guide to hashimotos, and I thought it might be helpful for others who, like me, wish to get their heads around the condition: https://hashimotoshealing.com/understanding-hashimotos-antibodies

What do I need to ask my GP for full blood test
I was newly diagnosed in January this year with Thyroid peroxidase antibody level 109IU/mL <60.00 IU/mL which I believe means I am Hashimoto's! However my Plasma TSH level was not high enough to be medicated 4.38 mU/L 0.30-4.20mU/L I posted my January blood results previously. I have an appointment

Self treating with NDT, a little advice needed please.
I would appreciate some advice from those with greater knowledge and experience of NDT as I have a few questions: •How to do I raise my FT3? •Is it Ok for FT4 to be under range when on NDT? •Can I realistically expect to feel 100% again? Progress is annoyingly slow. 1st GP Blood test: 06/04/2016

Marmite
Hi everyone, I have just learned a lot of interesting things about Marmite (yes Marmite!) and I thought I would pass it along. It seems that amongst other things it’s a good source of iron, selenium, magnesium , potassium and B vitamins, all essential for hypo people. I wish I liked it, I do not, but
