21 yr old College Son - New Diagnosis - How to find help?
Freshman year of college was a train wreck … financial problems, night in jail from a drunk biking accident (the night before my birthday - and I was in chemo at the time),
seizure
after smoking a joint, a drunken fall which resulted in stitches, forgetting plans for Mother’s Day … it was ugly.

Anyone get chorea with aps?
I have been having these weird facial tics and arm/hand movements, usually followed by a
seizure
. Its just battling whsts happening to me. Then when I test positive for b2 glycoprotein and thought I may have aps I thought this might start making sense to me.

Brivaracetam
Unfortunately, although my condition is stable with few seizures over months I have yet to get
seizure
freedom, so my consultant has suggested a change to Brivaracetam. I am giving it alot of thought because I have been on keppra for so long I am afraid the change does not work.

Is your Parkinson's diagnosis really idiopathic? Or is there an underlying cancer/autoimmune disorder?

Having “funny turns”
So for a few years now he’s been having half a bottle of Gin every other night to help him sleep but he’s having “auras” that sometimes lead to a
seizure
but they seem worse when he’s had his night with no drink then the next day the auras are worse.

Brain injury unit wait time
It started with a migraine and then followed by her going into a
seizure
and then she became unresponsive. The ambulance on the mobile unable to find our place. The kids screaming upstairs and me running up to tell them that everything was going to be okay.

brain radiation, delayed treatments, seizures
They said it’s possible he could have had a small stroke, however, they felt the more likely scenario is that the tumors on the dura pressing into his brain caused him to have a
seizure
. His language improved slightly while we were in the ER.

He asphyxiated during a

in the care home and ended up on high dependency due to pneumonia in both lungs. He was not expected to survive and again I stayed with him 24/7 for weeks 2 .

When I was diagnosed with GCA in 2019, I'd been
seizure
free for over 40 years and was on a very low maintenance dose of anticonvulsants.

Seizure alert systems
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a specific
seizure
alert system? I have been reading all the information on epilepsy action website which is very helpful but they are not allowed to recommend a specific one, does anyone have any experience with these? Many thanks

Waiting for a diagnosis and I am so scared.
I managed her
seizure
at home and stayed calm but I am so scared. How quickly can I expect a diagnosis and some support? I am worried about it being the weekend and not being able to contact anyone to let them know she has had another

Started having "auras" at the age of 36
Then one morning I woke up with bitten tongue and I assumed I had a
seizure
in my sleep, so I booked myself an appointment with my GP who referred me to a neurologist who in 7 minutes without any tests said I have epilepsy - only from what I told him! For what I know, I could have been lying.

Employment with FND
In June 2021, son's girlfriend was 7 weeks into a permanent job in a local authority nursery, when she had a non-epileptic
seizure
at work. Subsequent tests and appointments with a neurologist led, quite swiftly, to a diagnosis of FND. My daughter-in-law returned to work in January this year.

I have just been discharged from the hospital
I collapsed and had a
seizure
about two weeks ago during a filming production and my father and partner had to rush me to the hospital. It was a horrifying experience for them as I fell face first onto the road and started having a
seizure
. I was bleeding on my chin, arms, and legs.

What's happened to me, where have I gone?
I never used to be scared of fainting in public, passing out, going pale, looking unwell, having a
seizure
. The world was something I saw as adventure, now anything outside my front door is an enemy to my mind. It's affected my relationships.

FND seizures
I don't know what causes them because it always happens after I eat and when my heart rate is really high, but the weird thing is sometimes it happens right when I wake up and I don't even remember having a
seizure
I can just tell I had one because of the after effects.
