Coping strategies
My daughter has absent epilepsy but over the weekend when we were in France she had a tonic clonic
seizure
. I am struggling to cope with this, the image of her is so clear in my mind and although I am strong and supportive with her I can't seam to process what happened.

my sweet angel
The vet came into the room and all of a sudden his eyes opened and he had a
seizure
. I freaked the hell out! He came out of it quickly and went right back to sleepiness. Then I laid next to him near his chest and listened to his last breathes. And then he was gone…. My home is so quiet.

Endoscopy and Haemotology?!.. and blood tests?);
I have just gone through my doctor's records on System Online and the
seizure
was not recorded with the GP'S and I haven't had a LFT since May. Should I have routine blood tests? I am coming up for 5 months sober now but my functioning is at times is not good.

Teenager in denial
she wants to go out with her friends which we want her to do as well, but when we asked if we could talk to her friends to explain what they should do if she has a
seizure
she got so upset and begged us to let her tell her friends herself.

Why ………..
Whilst the paramedics where on site my husband had a
seizure
. He was taken to our local A&E where he had another
seizure
. Whilst in A&E (resus) the doctor came over to us and asked if we knew what was going on and had we been told anything.

Advice on switching from lamotragine due to side affects
Then Dec 2021 I had a
seizure
, totally out of the blue. I was started on lamotragine. I had 2 further seizures and have had none since. I have been on full dosage 125 m X 2 since April. I am struggling with the side affects, constant sleepiness and brain fog.

Long QT Syndrome
Hi, I posted the other day about me being on holiday in Crete where I had a
seizure
then stopped breathing and my husband had to perform CPR on me. Since then, I’ve been diagnosed with “possible” Long QT Syndrome to be confirmed when I FINALLY get home. Does anybody on here have this condition?

Seizures 17 months after ischemic stroke resulting in aphasia and right sided weakness.
He then had a Covid infection which caused extreme fatigue….just as he recovered from this setback, he had a double
seizure
, one
seizure
follow 30 minutes later by another. He was admitted to hospital, diagnosed with generalised Clonic- tonic

as a result from his stroke.

ASMR?
She also suffers with urine infections that can trigger a
seizure
of her temp spikes. Does anyone use a weighted blanked for their teenager or for themselves? If so, what are your thoughts on them? Good? Or Bad? Thank you xx

MRI and EEG confirm no stroke! 😮💨
They feel this is what caused the original
seizure
. He will continue on the
seizure
medication and they hope to move his brain radiation up (before Wednesday). They anticipate discharge on Wednesday.

How do I go about getting help/a diagnosis?
I had my first aura and PNES based
seizure
yesterday. It had to have been psychological I believe because the
seizure
lasted over 30 minutes. I've talked to some others with the same symptoms as me who were diagnosed with PNES and I am just wondering what to do.

I lie exhausted but wide awake at the same time, throwing one leg out the bed the other over the other side of the bed - it’s almost like a grandmas
seizure
but without the
seizure
with all the lower leg thrashing! I punch my legs.

Sobbing seizures?
Hubby was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis in January and has been on steroids and anti
seizure
meds since then. 3 weeks ago he started having episodes where he shakes and sobs uncontrollably as waves of pain go over his head. Has anyone else had symptoms like this?
