Laparotomy Recovery,feeling amazing!! xx
Just a quick post to say how amazing I am feeling 6 weeks after a Laparotomy!! After being very frightened when I learned I would have a laparotomy rather than laparoscopy, I can honestly say that my recovery this time has been easier than when I had a laparoscopy (with tube and ovary removal) last year

Acupan (Nefopam Hydrochloride)
Hello, I have just been prescribed Acupan for back pain. I took my first dose about 2 and a half hours ago, but haven't felt any reduction in pain. Can anyone advise how long it takes to work? I have tried googling it but can'y find much out there.... Thanks :-)

In the meantime I had to go and see GP because I was still in a lot of pain, he didn't know anything about my admission and was shocked to see my
scars
. Anyway, he referred me for a scan as he could see I was in discomfort and he wanted to know what was going on.

Laparoscopy Recovery in time for Christmas?
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could advise regarding anticipated recovery for laparoscopy. I was reviewed in clinic in October after an ultrasound scan which showed a 10cm right ovarian endometrioma. I am scheduled for a diagnostic lap and dye test with cystectomy on December 23rd. I should be

Hair loss
I have really bad hair loss , scarring on my head and dermatologist has advised to see plastic surgeon which I did who has agreed to pull my scalp together and stitch it to cover scarring , seems drastic but in a strange way I'm scared but can't wait to get rid of these severe bald patches I've had for

There are like 20-25
scars
in each hand. I didnt cut because i wanted to die. But idk, i enjoyed the pain i guess. I swallowed about 15 panadols another time. I've even swallowed silica balls. This is the first time I've ever opened up about any of this. I dont know what to do.

Atrial Box stitched to my wrists?
From the
scars
they left I must of had 4 of them 2 on each wrist. They were smaller than a box of matches and had a sticker on it with ATRIAL nothing else? I know I had to have a few transfusions while in there (6 units one day) so assumed it was for that but do not know?

Anyone out there with AF and WM had or waiting for catheter ablation?
Having had persistent AF for a year and then identified with Waldenstrome's Macroglobulinaemia in June '14, I await advice to establish the difficulties of catheter ablation. Hyperviscosity is 20 as the blood thickens. Anyone out there with the same problem?

Post laparoscopy, pain down below, help!!
But since I've awoken from the procedure although the
scars
from the laparoscopy are healing well, my down below is VERY sore, it's that sore that trying to pee hurts, wiping hurts everything is hurting there, not in the inside, but outside! Is this normal!?!

Just being a drama queen?
I have posted on here so many times I'm sure most are familiar with whats going on with me! I recently had a laparoscopy where they found pelvic hyperaemia and a serious pelvic infection due to a popped cyst that they never drained. They put me on 2 weeks of strong painkillers and said within 2-3 days

Feeling horrible physically and emotionally after laparoscopy
I've been very bloated, my belly button is now shaped differently, and my
