Prostate cancer morphed into NEPC
I was recently blindsided by my "under control" prostate cancer, turning into High Grade Neuroendocrine Prostate cancer (NEPC). After 13 years of various therapies, the last few years included Lupron/Eligard, Zytiga, Xtandi. This kept the PSA low (around .2) and kept my MO happy. In 2021, I asked my

Zoladex delay
Hi All, has anyone postponed one of their monthly Zoladex injections by a week? Any issues in that week? My situation is that I have a consultant appointment to review how I’ve got on with Zoladex (and, on the basis of my response, aid the decision making process on how much to do in surgery) booked

Does pee urgency get worse after radiation?
I had IMRT 60 Gy circa August 2022. Since then sometimes it is very hard to hold a pee back. I'm concerned it might be getting worse. This is probably going to get a lot of responses -- please bring them on!

ADT/Exercise and QoL thanks
While attending a 10 day Vipassana silent meditation course (you do not speak for the 10 days and have no electronics/connection with the outside world - very liberating) I was not able to exercise, other than about 10,000 steps per day. As background, I have been on ADT (Firmagon) for 6 months (just

When to introduce ADT after RP failure
I'm progressing well on Triplet Therapy coming up 12 months after Chemo and comparing myself to my brothers situation. He doesn't belong on this advanced prostate group but I hope his cancer does not advance to the point that he does! Diagnoses Biochemical failure following radical prostatectomy

pBAT update after two cycles.
I started BAT using testosterone propianate which requires injections every other day during high T cycle. The beauty of that is fast clearing and slamming the jail cell shut on the beast with darolutamide. My recent PSA came in as 0,05 which is almost at end on my 2nd darolutamide cycle. My Numbers

perimenopause and heart stuff!
at 49 I’ve finally realised the not sleeping and feeling head fog for the past years is not having a late child (7 now) and a stent (1.5 now), it’s perimenpause as I’m now getting a lot of hot flushes (heat not helping here!). Periods still normal if closer together. But I’ve also being having more

Aetna appeal for Firmagon denial
My husband was diagnosed with high risk aggressive prostate cancer, Gleason 9. Plus one para rectal node positive. The doctor prescribed 2 years of ADT plus 5 weeks of IMRT. Had first 240 mg dose of firmagon on September 14 with no major side effects so far. Doctor used firmagon to avoid testosterone

Kidney Stones
I’m 19 months into ADT (Lupron) following open RP and 38 rounds of radiation last summer. All treatments or for Gleason 9 (5/4) PC that had spread outside the prostate. A few weeks ago I started getting loose bowels, incontinence and blood in my urine. My urologist thought I had radiation cause cancer

Zoladex and HRT
Spoke to surgeonSo my surgeon rang yesterday and explained why they aborted the hysterectomy on Tuesday. He said my cervix was fused to my bowel and possibly left ovary and my rectum had been pulled down too. He said it looked to be endometriosis that had been there a long, long time and they wouldn't
