hi

So in Nov 2022 I had a hysterectomy but kept my ovaries at my 3mth phone call following the doctor said happy to put you on HRT. I was like no it’s ok will see how I go mainly because I felt too young am 44.

however as the months have gone by am becoming worse to the point it’s affecting my life am having time off work which is not me at all.

first it’s started with dizziness and some panic attacks (never experienced before) doctors said it was inner ear infection. Am having hot flushes throughout the day, no night sweats well not yet. Fuzzy head (so bad) which is leading to really bad anxiety and panic attacks mainly in crowded am constantly checking my pulse, constantly worrying because my head not right which makes me not able to concentrate. I have many more symptoms, itchy ears, blowing, bad mood swings etc

I have started reading Divinna Mcall’s book to help me try get my head around it all.

I spoke with the GP yesterday, blood test cause am under 45 and anti depressants which I don’t want to take

If my bloods come back ok does that say am not peri menopausal ? If so why do I have these awful symptoms that are affecting me so much . If bloods come back I am so I start HRT ? Am I too young for HRT

I don’t really have many people to talk too, have no mum and my sister younger than me. Friends not on HRT one friend who tried it came off.

Sorry long post but am stuck where to turn.

Thanks

Hi there it definitely sounds like peri menopause and no your not to young for hrt. My GP goes from symptoms and won't do blood tests, I've been peri from the age of thirty six, I hope you get everything sorted out, sending you a big hug x🤗

I would it's worth giving it a try at least, as it might just give you the help you need. And at leave then you will know. It's not easy though I have a phobia with taking new medication so I understand you might be anxious, sending you a big hug 🤗

Hello wait for your blood test to come back. Menopause is a nuisance to us ladies. I think the main problem is we are at home with our bodies and know what to expect but menopause is like a little demon on your shoulder laughing at us saying right I'm going to embarrass you and make you feel out of your comfort zone. Makes us hot gets us thinking we have lost confidence in life in general. It can affect previously very confident women making them scared of lots of situations driving, work meetings all sorts of things. We cant trust our bodies as we did before. We have to go through this (period 😁 )

in our lives if we live long enough dont let it win. It's your hormones going a bit crazy. It's not you going crazy.......well that's what l think anyway
