I really need help from experts in brain injuries and language problems
So this is what happened to me, for some weird reason when I was 15 years old I lost the abilities to understand a lot of things like books, videos, movies etc., it's not that I don't understand what's happening, but that I don't understand the language, I have to say that I didn't lose the ability to

Post-concussion syndrome and TBI
Hi all, I wondered if someone might be able to help me, I experienced a small bleed on the brain last July and have been struggling with fatigue ever since. Looking on this forum I've come across posts about post-concussion syndrome and have been left wondering whether this is something I am experiencing

Pleurx catheter?
I had a pleurodesis just under 3 months ago. It hasn't worked as I had hoped. I am not sure if I am a candidate for a pleurx catheter as it seems the fluid buildup in my lungs is slow, at least for the time being. I noticed that the fluid build up rapidly increases every third treatment after I have

Nearly 9, bedwetting
Hi, my son has struggled with bed wetting on and off since he was 6. At this stage, his grandad died and he moved schools. Since then he's regularly wet the bed. Since lockdown, he has been better and had a few weeks dry, but this week he's been wet 5 nights in a row. Any suggestions? He's never had

Is it common to have Tinnitus after stopping Anti Anxiety Meds? I quit cold turkey, Pristiq 50MG after taking it for a year. Scan
I had some bleeding on the morning of my 6 week scan. At the scan the fetal heart rate was 96bpm which the doctor said should have been over 100bpm. Obviously all of this has made me really fearful. Have another scan on Monday when I will be 7 weeks 3 days. I am trying to stay positive but finding it

Tracheostomy
My husband is still sedated and on the tracheostomy. His oxygen level is still 35% and he requires the ventilator. It has been 5 weeks now since he is in icu and no progress and I am worried.

Constant accidents help needed for 5 yr old
Hi My daughter has basically never got potty training. We did initial training when I thought she was ready at 2yrs & 9months old, we thought initially that she understood but just kept getting distracted. Then she started preschool and it seemed to get worse so I took her to the doctor's who agreed

Feelings of Deja Vu
Hi everyone - hope you are all staying safe and well. I am currently off all medication - have been since beginning of Dec 2019. It seems that since I stopped having periods things have gone into remission. I just want to ask all a question. I had a seizure in 2011 and ever since I have experienced occasionally

Exam by laptop?
I was scheduled to drive 3 hours to Salt Lake City to be seen by my neurologist. That was before. Then it was changed to a video chat. I thought it was a dumb idea but I was wrong. One of his Fellows went through the process. But first she said to remember three things: A zebra, a ring and a

So tired of being strong
I’m a single mum with a lovely 9 year old boy. He’s the reason I’m trying to stay strong and quite frankly acting sane. I’m sure there are lots of people who are in the same boat at the moment being more susceptible to stress, depression and anxiety with all the going ons. I have quietly accepted that

I have plagiocephaly.....
Hi guys, I’m Jimmy and I recently found that I have mild positional plagiocephaly. How I found out was I kept staring into the mirror looking at myself and I noticed something was off. I just wanna if I can get surgery to correct my facial asymmetry.

Chronic use of Senna
I have IBS-c and have used Senna fruit tablets, 2 at night fairly constantly over 6 months. Some research papers say it shouldn't be used chronically as it can cause a lazy bowel but others say there is no good evidence that Senna fruit can damage the colon. Has anybody any experience of long term use

One Year On....🏃♂️
Around this time last year I downloaded the Couch to 5k app as I needed a complete life change. I was suffering with depression and anxiety, overweight, unfit, doing a job I hated, my confidence was non existent and if I am honest I was at my lowest point I had ever been in my life. I remember one of

Bedwetting
My ten year old had never been dry at night since 5 years of age. Over the last year it has improved considerably, not wet every night, though saying that this week he has so far! Usually tends to wet early morning(5-6am) we tried an alarm four years ago(via enuresis clinic) very briefly but he hated

Slimatee
Hi, has anyone used Slimatee teabags to help with constipation? I know the ingredients include Senna, and I am trying to avoid using laxatives. Covid 19 and struggling to wake from sedation without Sat's going wild
Hi my father in law is in icu with covid 19. This is his 30th day in an induced coma. We thought we was going to lose him over the weekend as his trach had started bleeding into his lungs. Thankfully they have stopped the bleed. Everytime they try and wake him from sedation all his SAT's go all over
