Dad still sedated, had Tracheostomy last week Wednesday, they have lowered his sedation managed to open his eyes a few times and they have started to wean him of but today he seemed to tired so they stop weaning him today. They also found his left arm weaker and keeping an eye on it.

Talking with the physio teams across Cheshire - many were saying that the level of fatigue experienced by patients is a real hindrance to rehab. but eventually they get there.
He is not waking up, been out of sedation 24hrs
For some it’s taking many days - sorry if I’m repeating myself - a lot of the delay is down to staff having to use more sedative coupled with shortages, they are having to resort to ‘blunter’ sedatives that take longer to recover from.
They done a brqin scan and on first report nothing obvious but the senior person is looking at the scan.
