I'm new here.
Thank you for letting me join. The GP thinks I may have IBS-D. I was diagnosed with Coeliac many years ago but my tummy has never settled. It seems so sensitive and so unreliable. I am very careful not to consume any gluten, lactose or yeast. I read all the labels too. But I still have this diarrhoea

Dad not waking from sedatives
Hi everyone. My dad came off his pushbike 12 days ago (28th of October) and suffered a traumatic brain injury. They said he wouldn’t make it due to the pressure unless they operated and remove the left part of his skull. They did that the same evening and they said it went as well it could have gone.

Advice please - CBD
Hi all Just wondering if anyone can offer any words of advice. My dad has CBD and has recently been in hospital for 6 weeks. He has now been released home for palliative care. He is non-verbal, he has no mobility, he is doubley incontinent and is bedbound. My mum now has carers that come in 4 times

Gastric Enteritis Nightmare
hi It’s been a while since I’ve posted , but I hope someone can help. About 4 weeks ago on a holiday in Greece I became really sick with what was diagnosed as Gastric Enteritis. Vomiting, terrible stomach pain , diarrhoea, the works. I felt so weak I could hardly walk. It was a weeks holiday and I

SCT update
Hello friends, I have been out of hospital for a few weeks now and am just starting to feel stronger. Today is day +65.Blood counts are slowly improving but I daren't take anything for granted. The main issue now is that I have developed skin GVHD; the itching is horrendous though Dermovate cream helps

Besremi has (No?) Preservative
This is info is just for curious types, nothing of concern or worry for us Bes users. -Most injectables have some means for preserving. Refrigerating is a 1st line of defense. For Besremi there is confusing info on whether and what type of preservative beyond keeping it cold Besremi uses. In the

Agony of Reducing Ropinerole
I have been weaning off Ropinerole for a while now. I am down from 4mg per day to .5 mg per day. However I when I try to come off or even try .25 mg, my legs always start up. My neurologist reckons my RLS is secondary due to a spinal tumour I have. When I get an attack, my left leg feels it has

Hi all, just heard about this treatment using infra red light. Someone told me it is being used to help Parkinson's and Alzheimer's sufferers, but when I checked one of the websites out it said it was suitable for TBIs too . So I was just wondering if anyone had tried it?

Alzheimer's, APOE4 gene and HRT - testing for the APOE4 gene
In the news today (14 January 2023) they talk about the possible reduction in Alzheimer's from taking HRT. I cannot take HRT (and have no desire to) due to my ovarian (sub-type endometrioid) cancer and endometrial cancer both being oestrogen receptor positive. However, what I found interesting to read

Moving on from a Tracheostomy
Sorry - another question from me. As it was a slightly different topic, I thought I'd start a new thread. My dad has had a trachy now for just over two weeks, following two weeks fully sedated on a ventilator due to pneumonia. He is much improved and breathing unaided for 36 hours so far. He is also

Pace lesson learned
There has been a lot about pace and distance in the chat recently here’s my story… I graduated 3 months ago and have done 3 Parkruns so far (what a great organisation!) I was determined to go faster on my second PR. Big mistake! Took me about 20 minutes to realise I was struggling, my breath wasn’t

My body shutting down
I just feel sleepy everyday and every time. Even if sleep the whole day and whole night I will still feel sleepy. Apart from that, I feel tired, I feel like my body is getting paralysed, Lightheadedness, body vibrating and an urge to cry. Let me not forget the antsy, irritation and suddenly don't like

Stress
I should have added my husband was admitted to hospital last week with side effects from his Keytruda, so it was a stressful few days, he's home and fine now, but it is an ongoing journey, with metastatic melanoma, brain tumour .

Muscle spasm in right hand??? Has anyone else had/ have this?
I can barely use my right hand, I am right handed. The spasms run up to mid arm. Has anyone had a similar problem. I am at my wits end, I don't know how to reduce it. I use magnesium, high doses of Nortritypline and nothing seems to help? I think the issue is coming from my neck? Neck very sore, currently
