Hi

I'm looking for a befriend agency that has specifics with staff understanding head injury and mental health for my beloved best friend.

This is even just 30/40 minutes per week.

He is an animal lover, into art and craft, music, films, animation, Mr. bean, Faulty tower etc..

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you!

He will go to an adapted property to have a more independent - Dignified - life after a severe brain injury which he is slowly recovering from a catastrophic accident. The de-institutionalisation process and him being treated as a human being, not a number, not a disabled, not a baby, as an intelligent human he is with a brain that at times people and the system around him fails to understand he has and a beautiful above average intellect one!

Looks as if there is a lot of work to be done to address how people are treated especially people who suffered brain injury.

Have a good day, Thank you.

ask his social worker to find somewhere, most centres are all closed due to lack of funding! SMILE?!! Coffee and a deep slow breath can be calming?!! Good luck

Their is a number of groups but the Balham group would be closest don’t need to arrange anything just turn up on the day.

I personally have found meeting others really helpful over the years.

Thank you! I checked on this already. the times are not suitable unfortunately because of fatigue and daily routine. An outreach befriended would be fab! until we get the mobility car to travel easy..
