CBT and sticking to therapy
I have been on methylphenidate in different forms, Concerta, and
Ritalin
. Currently, I am on a 60mg dose of
Ritalin
(IR). I started therapy, more specifically Mindfulness-Integrated CBT, 3 months ago. After reading about it, I felt like it could help me.

Adult ADHD
Taking
Ritalin
has the same feeling in my brain as that moment you sink away into a warm bath. It is quiet, peaceful and calm in there. The world is organized, my thoughts lined up. Tasks for the day gets done. Bipolar meds are amazing in keeping my mood stable and consistent.

Need Small Support group for Adult Males who cannot take Rx for ADHD but are refining/building successful coping strategies
I took
Ritalin
first for about a month and then atomoxetine, or generic strattera, and they both absolutely destroyed my ability to sleep, which made everything worse. Wow... I do not wish that on anoyne.

Side effects of Adderall XR
I find vyvanse and/or
Ritalin
to be helpful in terms of making me alert and functional which of course has the secondary benefit of improving my executive function issues.

I caught up with my Psychiatrist and he said that I should try methylphenidate and he specifically recommended
Ritalin
(10mg) - I am only taking 5mg for a start but may increase after.

Advice on medication
Today I have been prescribed Rubifen SR, which I think is basically
Ritalin
SR under a different name. I am upping my dose in a staged manner, 20mg for the first 2 weeks, then 40 mg etc. I took my first pill today and felt nothing. Is that normal?

Anyone here unmedicated?
In turn, I saw a nurse-practitioner (doctors near me were not accepting new patients) who prescribed
Ritalin
in a very low dose which did help a little. I had to stop seeing her because I could not afford more insurance co-payments.

After 1 year of waiting, today my psychiatrist is sending a letter to my GP to prescribe

ADHD medicine side effects and issues
The least side effects came from
Ritalin
. Was having some issues with anxiety which in turn raised my blood pressure. The other night my BP spiked to 171 over 110 with resting pulse at 142. The stimulants just donāt work well with me honestly. Itās been a whirlwind of experiences honestly.

Cold Medicine Options
Iām finding that everything has a decongestant in it, which I was told to avoid when heās taking
Ritalin
, and then everything else has citric acid, which is taking too close to the
ritalin
, can make it less effective.

I could use some advice for my son's meds.
Anyway, we had him on
Ritalin
at first. I want to say we started at 5mg, which helped a little, but we moved him up to 10 a couple weeks after if I remember right. And then 20mg maybe six months later. Like everyone else, we had a hard time finding his medication.

Ritalin
30mg and that made me more sleepy. So then she started me on adderall 20mg and that hasnāt made me tired nor has it helped at all with focus. I am still running 100 miles a min cause I canāt stop and focus.

Not well!!
They gave me
Ritalin
which helps for about 4 hours and then back to the couch. Also my bones and joints hurt like thereās no tomorrow. I have a very hard time walking. Iām wondering if this is it for me and thatās why my Onc suggested Boston.

Finally getting my med!
Because of the shortage, I wasnt able to get
Ritalin
so my doctor prescribed generic adderall until I was able to get it. My question is: does anyone know how many hours after taking my last dose of Adderall can I start on
Ritalin
again?
