Experience with Guanfacine and Metadate Cd- just started

Hi everyone, we are about to add a new med, Metadate Cd, along with the current Guanfacine, for my 9 yr old son with ADHD. Does anyone have experience with this mix? The Guanfacine is making his blood pressure too low and he has outgrown the dosage and starting to have focus challenges in school. Psychiatrist recommended Metadate, a stimulant. Is this the same as Ritalin. Any tips and feedback would be helpful.

No experience with that combo but my grandson is on Guanfacine with Strattera and Sertraline. Took a long time to get a good combo for him.
