Rituximab and Flu/Cold
Hello good people. Any tips on dealing with a cold while on Rituximab. Do the same guidelines for Covid apply? Many thanks 😊

length of time for biopsy results
Hi, had a partial lung lobectomy and lymph node removal, was told biopsy results would be back in 7-10 days. It’s now been 41 days and I’ve heard nothing. When I contact various people I’m just being told this length of timeframe is not uncommon.. this does not sound right to me… Anyone else had to wait

Caffeine / pregabalin / conflicting advice
I am under Professor Walker at Queen Square, a specialist for RLS. I am on Pregabalin (300mg before bedtime). But also on Citalopram for HRT, which he said should be switched to Bupropion as it worsens RLS. Unfortunately he did not give an amount, so my GP had to phone the "hot line" to a bank of

Hell: Weaning off pramipexole
I need your help: I am on my transiation from pramipexole to Gabapentin. I'm now at 300mg gabapentin at 6pm and 600mg gabapentin at 10pm. My maximum dose of prami was 0.125. I am almost off it. Every couple of days (first: weeks) I am reducing the dose which was not easy because I can't divide the tablet

Syringe
A recently change of my biologic arrived requiring syringe application where previous biologic was via pen applicator which was easy and fine to self administer.Administering the first dose of new biologic was awkward and unpleasant to do with its longer needle and pushing the plunger with a swollen

Almost died of flu, pneumonia and sepsis - will the fear of death go away?
Hi all, I'm so happy there's an online community for people who've been in an ICU! I'm 53 years old and prior to this thought I was really healthy. I'm a hillwalker and regularly climb large Scottish mountains. The consultants in the hospital kept referring to me as "young and fit" which does wonders

Opioids
Good morning one & all I am, as you know, now on 2,100 gabapentin taken in divided doses in the evenings to no avail. Today I spoke to my GP and to my amazement he is happy to start me on low dose oxycodone (to take at night). Thank you so much Sue & Jools for suggesting I sent him all the articles

WimHof style methods to help us hypos..
https://www.morozkoforge.com/post/hashimoto My son has been taking cold showers for the past month and feeling much better for it - there appears to be various links to thyroid health and cold water treatments - some suggest splashing very cold water over the hyroid area each morning and some go further

I have been on Watch and Wait for over 6 years and my lymphocyte count went up amrkedly after a very bad cold in December. Anyone else suffer badly with cold & virus's etc
Hi, Does anyone else find when they got a cold or flu alongside their hypothyroidism it affects them really bad? I've got my 3rd cold / virus in as many months and I'm sofa bound today. I feel gutted to be honest. The last week has been really tough with having another virus. I try my hardest to do

Surgery
I have had parkinsons for 5 years and need a hip replacement, I fear how the anesthesia will affect my symptons. I have an appointment with a new neurologist, but it's not until the end of March. My surgeon can only tell me that it's my decision,

Augmentation
I have been taking 0.26mg of Pramapexole plus 100mg Tramadol for around 8 years. This is my second bout of Pramapexole, first time around after a good few years I augmented, had a break then started again. It really has been a good drug for me but of course I am paying the price again. My question is

Mild Sjogrens? Is that a thing?
I've googled it and I still have no idea. Lots of cross over symptoms with thyroid but I've started pondering on my dry eyes and mouth. Neither are dry to the point of pain but my husband has noticed I've developed an eye 'tic'. I'm sort of rolling my eyes and opening my eyes wide; I've realised

Dronedarone(Multaq) and lungfibrosis
As a teenager suffered from pulmonary sarcoidosis which healed up after 15 years leaving me with a slight restriction of my lung function. During the years up to recently (approx. 60 years) I have had had a few bouts of bronchitis every year. Always treated with antibiotics. My PAF started in 2003

PV and lung problems/findings
Hello dear group, once again I am turning to you, in the hope somebody might share if they had a similar experience. A week ago, I went to the doctors office, totally unrelated to my PV journey, to check out a persisting cough. I wasn't extremely concerned, but wanted to make sure I was on the mend

My experience with Ropinirole
Hi All I wanted to let people know of my experience with RLS, what I thought was augmentation, changing medications and seeing a Consultant. So it all started when the 0.5mg Ropinirole I was on did not have the same effect. Doing my own research I considered that augmentation was happening. When
