Clinical trials: post transpant management of anti-rejection medications
I have been invited to take part in a clinical trial to reduce (completely?) anti-rejection meds. I am currently on .5 mg Prograf x 2 and 500mg MMF x 1 which I realise is quite low. Is there anyone out there who has dropped these entirely? If so, could you share experiences, either here or via message

Reasons for having Reverse T3 test please.
Have recently come across reverse T3 on here and wondered in what circumstances you would have this test done. Can it tell if you are not converting T4 to T3?

GRF Level
I was on the Davita.com site and punched in my creatinine level of 1.0 and it gave me a GFR of 66, but yet by blood work shows 59. How can it be that different, does anyone know? Thanks

Chronic kidney disease & haven't been told

How to carry a filled insulin pen at high and low temperature in India
I am using both Lantus and Novorapid. Lantus at night only. Novorapid before breakfast, lunch and again at dinner. I take 20 units each time. Can we keep the pen and carry both types of insulin without using an ice pack in Delhi? The Summer temps. are 45 centigrade and the Winter temps. fluctuate

Shortness of breathe
I am a fit slim 70 year old female experiencing shortness of breath, tightening in my chest with exercise. I've had a ECG test which was normal and a blood test to test for heart failure. Also had a chest xray which is normal and blown a peak flow test which had indicated a normal reading?

Afib and congestive heart failure
Hello - I write about my mother who is 90 yrs. old with afib and recently diagnosed with chf. She was on 10 mgs. of Lasix 2 x a day, but her edema and congestion in her lungs increased and she was very short of breath - especially at night and she had to sit in her recliner to get her breath back.

Sepsis. Update on "Drama"
Thanks to all who replied to my Drama post. Just a quick update. Still in hospital while they grow cultures to find the type of sepsis. Meanwhile they are trying broad spectrum antibiotics until they identify a specific one. More worrying from my point of view, ( but they laugh at me and call me Dr)

Prostate Cancer & Hormones - Estrogen [1] - (& Androgen Ratio)
"Based on the reported sex difference in the incidence of acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD) in patients with chronic

, it is hypothesized that the hormonal derangement, well documented in male and female uremic patients on long-term dialysis, could be responsible for the pathogenesis

Never thought I could get anxiety
So, I just found this site doing some homework on why my heart seems to race and flutter constantly. I've been dealing with anxiety over the course of probably 3 months now. I was the kind of guy that always thought I would never deal with anxiety, depression, etc. Been healthy all my life and lucky.
