FINALLY
I am so thankful to those of you who wrote about the blanking period. I had never heard of that although I did realize that they would not consider my procedure of failure until three months and it could take 6 to 12 months to really have things kick in right. FINALLY I almost feel like me again. Of

For Eryl
I think Eryl will too: Brett85 8 years ago so some people with
renal
failure
will notice the drops in iron and some won't notice the drops in iron. Your big point is that while we are sleeping, our iron availability dropsfor all people but only some will have symptoms of that happening.

Breathing Problems - COPD?
Well I have breathing problems, not the normal COPD Flare Ups. For a while now I have been getting short of breath to easily. Feeling worse in myself also. I made an appointment with my excellent GP - She listened to everything I had to say. My BP normally low was normal, my O2 sats no worse than

LVDD (Left Ventricle Diastolic Dysfunction) - Diuretic/ARB
I am from India aged 51 yrs. I got my CABG done for single artery (LAD) 6 months back. Post surgery I developed breathlessness and could not walk out for two months. Though i consulted many doctors only one doctor gave me diuretic Torasemide 5mg and that helped me to walk as my breathlessness improved

The article referred to below
This paper is behind a paywall, so I'll get it elsewhere. But it shows the benefits of giving T3 to patients after heart failure. This is just the abstract

Home dialysis question
Has anyone had experience with both home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis? If so, what were the pros and cons for each.

Heart Failure
I contracted Covid in March and at which time I was also diagnosed with AF. I have had several Doctors and Hospital appointments and each time my Medications have been increased changed and most recently one tablet removed. I find it slightly unsettling each time a medical professional refers to it

Introduction: I'm new here
Hi my name is Jay and I just wanted to introduce myself. My husband has vasculitus which has aggressively attacked his kidneys so he will need a kidney transplant once the condition is under control. At the moment he is on dialysis 3 times a week. We only found out how ill he was in November 2021 so

Hi is it normal to be switched from “acute kidney damage” to “renal failure” even when kidneys still function & lab work from clinic is good
Still urinating normal amount, nothing odd about it. Went over a week without dialysis when my chest catheter malfunctioned and had no ill side effects Labs seem to always be “good” news or at least that my numbers are within the clinic’s liking.

The link between bradycardia and hypothyroidism
I had a successful Cardioversion via my previous surgery/private cardiologist some months ago but have been struggling in the last couple of months with bradycardia (bpm low 50’s ) ache across chest and episodes of falling asleep when I don’t feel especially tired (could this be syncope?) Im aware

At a Dialysis Crossroads
I have to decide whether to get a fistula in my arm and go with hemodialysis, or go with peritoneal dialysis. I spent a couple of hours in a center talking to a couple of nurses about peritoneal dialysis and it sounds like a bad choice given its near constant presence in your life. With hemodialysis

Heart muscle not working properly
I had an angiogram Monday and the doctor yold me my heart muscle is not working properly. To my understanding this is heart failure. Am I correct? I have also been told to 'get fitter' and he will see me in 3 months. The problem is I had two knee replacements (one which went badly wrong the second
