High GGT and ALT Levels
Hi, I visited my GP today as I have developed itchy skin, it appears that my blood results from June 2016 should have alerted me to some issues with my liver however the GP sent a message via the GP receptionist saying things were normal. Hope for those with no diagnosis and still don't know what they're problem is ...
Hi there, I haven't been on here for months but I'll give you a bit of back story to try to encourage anyone who is struggling to receive a diagnosis. I've had almost chronically for 4-5 years. At its worst I've been on tramadol to try to control it. The pain is mostly on my right side, in my back

Treatment differences for myopic macular degeneration by MDs
Hi I have been diagnosed with myopic macular degeneration. After 18 months of monthly injections my doctor left and I had to go to another. The new doctor used an angiogram and OCT test to tell me my eye was no longer leaking blood and I did not need an injection. Two days later I had my last appointment

#TalkAboutCharlesBonnet
We have launched a campaign to raise awareness of visual hallucinations caused by sight loss, known as Charles Bonnet Syndrome. We are always keen to highlight that these hallucinations are a natural experience and not a sign of mental illness. We are encouraging people to talk more about their hallucinations

Elevated ALP and GGT, liver lesions and fatty liver
Hi all, a routine blood test showed prolonged period of elevated Alp and ggt. Due to some other issues the dr ordered a scan which showed multiple liver lesions and a cyst. They have now booked me in for an MRI, just wondering if anyone out there has had anything similar. Thanks

First suspicions of having cirrohsis
Four weeks ago my 44 year old Son was told by his GP that he had perhaps 12 months to live due to liver disease, suspected cirrhosis. Although he has in the past consumed much alcohol he was being treated for mental illness for over 12 months with all blood tests etc not showing signs of the disease.
