Worried on bloods
Hi guys, I am a little concerned on my liver function test. I had bloods done in 2013 and the Alt was 35 and now it is 51, my ggt now is 66 and both should be 45, I have drank quiet heavily for about 5 years. Carton of beer and a bootle of bourbon a week. The doctor didn't seem concerned and booked more

Help with acities
Hi my friend has ARLD with bad acities. He has had 2 litres drained but it has made little difference. The water tablets do not seem to be working. He is getting very downhearted as he feels poorly all the time, is very weak and as the acities is in his legs too has limited movement. He is also struggling

Too much Methylcobalamine?
I took methylcobalamine 5000 mcg sublingual for about 10 months. Just had my blood tested and found the B-12 level was > 1999 and the normal range is 211-946. Doc said to stop taking methylcobalamine immediately. Stopped 3 weeks ago . I have tingling on both feet. Should I gradually withdraw rather

Difference between fatty liver and nash?
Hi, i was diagnosed with a fatty liver via ultrasound. I was just wondering if anyone knows if dr can differentiate between nafld and nash via this means? How is nash diagnosed? Do symptoms differ between the two? should i ask dr for further tests? All bloods were ok except alt slightly raised at 66

Liver dialysis
Having had a liver transplant myself last December at the Royal free and remembering the panic of not knowing whether I might get a donor in time, I was interested to see the successful trial of a new liver dialysis machine at the Royal free as reported in the Sunday times today. This is wonderful news
