Any one who follows me knows i am a 24 year old recovering alcholic (150 units a week for 3 years) 40 days sober, suffering from off coloured (yellow stools) and diherra still ongoing, very worrying symptoms.
Had my LFT 2 weeks into sobriety returned noraml with albium actually slightly high but obsviuossly dosent mean i am healthy.
Went back to my gp finally had a physisicall assessment, felt that i had an enlarged liver, got referd for an ultrasound of which i will have to wait a over a month.
I am so very scared and the fear is completely ruining my life, i am waiting for the symptons go away thay may never go away and i am waiting to have my liver checked and i am waiting to feel healthy to be happy with my sobriety but i constanlly feel like i am 24 and i havent even had the chance at life

Hi whiskertron, try not to panic. You have youth your on your side. I've been a hefty drinker for over 20yrs and am also in limbo at the moment. The waiting is so hard. You're doing fantastically well to kick the booze. Eating well and exercising is also very important. Feel proud of yourself for every day you stay dry. You're helping your liver every day, so well done. Could you're doctor do some more blood tests including GGT in the meantime? If these all came back normal that should help allay your fears. (Having said that my bloods were normal and I'm still worried about symptoms too)
You'll find good support on here. Keep us posted how you get on. Winnie
The symptoms you described are not ones that you need to be overly worried about. Diarrhoea can be caused by many things. As for the colour of stools I've never bothered to check mine and I'm worse off than you. If you aren't experiencing mental confusion (encephalopathy) and bouts of fatigue it means that your liver has enough function to enable you to live normally even if there is some damage. At your age your liver will most likely repair itself if you follow a healthy diet and exercise. I wouldn't be worried given your age and the fact that you only drank for 3 years. I'm betting you'll be fine.
