Hi all, been on Ramipril 5mg now for 10 years. Diagnosed with mild cardiomyopathy (EF 45/50%). Had left coronary stent 3 years ago and feel fine. 70 years old and my blood pressure raised in the last 12 months to average 150/76 so was upped my ramipril from 5mg to 10mg daily. I really feel tired with some minor chest pain since taking the higher dose and wonder has anybody here had any similar side effects. Only been on 10mg for 9 days so hoping it will resolve somewhat itself.

Cheers Terry, will get on to GP.
Ramipril is a useful drug for a lower Ejection Fraction. It does not normally cause fatigue or chest pain. Ejection fraction of around 60% is considered normal. You need the cardiologist's advice if your symptoms do not settle with time. Regards
