Having had a coronary stent fitted in April I'm prescribed atorvastatin 80mg to clear fatty arteries. Would I be better off with rosuvastatin?

I haven't got a clue but this may help:singlecare.com/blog/crestor...

However it's better to take advice from your Gp or consultant.

I don’t have a direct answer to your question ,but, I was prescribed Atorvastain 80 mg but couldn’t get along with it. It took a long while for me to make the connection but it made me extremely tired. I was switched to 80mg Simvastatin which works fine for me.

Pete takes Simvastatin and does well with that. Speak to your doctor Bilbo. Xx

I have been given atorvastatin because I had palpitations for three and a half hours. I’ve had it before but not for that long. My heart was beating at 103 beats per minute. I get no problems with atorvastatin. I wasn’t aware there was a different statin. Although I remember my Father was on simvastatin. I’m seeing a heart specialist when they can get round to giving me an appointment. So they may decide on something different.

Hi.. I was recommended Atorvastatin. If possible ask if you can try a lower dose initially to see if you tolerate it. Good luck! 😍
