Shoulder injury & pain killers with HD
I have what doc and physio think might be a shoulder injury (although I don’t remember injuring it) or possibly rotator cuff problem or impingement.. they can’t decide. I’m know I’m not supposed to take anti inflammatory painkillers, so what can I take? The doc is next to useless and tried to prescribe

An Update and Thank You

Struggling with flare up
I was diagnosed with PMR in May. Started on 15mgs of pred and successfully tapered to 8mgs by Oct. Now experiencing a massive flare and have gone up to 12.5mgs with no relief on the pain and stiffness. Painkillers don’t help. I have a GP review later this week. How long can flares last? I am 69 years

Golf ball in rib cage left side post covid. Any ideas?
I am recovering from having covid and was quite poorly with it. It has played havoc with my asthma. My self isolating ended on Monday and yesterday I did a flow test which was negative. I still have the occasional cough and my sense of smell is still not back. Last night when I went to bed and lay

Pedundal neuralgia or piriformis syndrome, or both if possible?
It began with perineum
pain
, and
rectal
pain
/pressure. Then came the low back pain and weakness in the backs of my thighs. I was doing a great amount of work that involved squatting, lifting heavy objects, and riding a 4-wheeler…I work on our ranch.

Rectal and hip pain - possible endometriosis?
I've been experiencing lower back/tailbone pain for 8 weeks. Since having a bladder prolapse 2 years ago, I get occasional discomfort in my rectum, but for the past few weeks this has become more intense and constant. I had a scan for fibroids which came back clear, but am wondering whether I could have

I had my booster and flu jab at same time a week ago. Booster was Pfizer and original 2 Covid jabs were astra zeneca. I had asked gp to have flu and Covid booster separately. Skelton brittleness from Lupron
I have been on Lupron for about 16 months. About 7 weeks ago I had a fall on to a hard floor. I landed on my hand. In doing so I twisted my body but didn’t land on body but broke my fall with my hand. I had a X-ray which showed I had crushed my vertebrae. My GP put me on pain killers. We have had a discussion

Chronic back pain and pain relief?
Hi all Looking for some advice re pain killers for awful lower backache. I had a stent fitted in my LAD a year ago and on the usual meds ie Ticagrelor, Atorvastatin, Aspirin. Everything I read it seems I shouldn’t take ibuprofen only paracetamol which doesn’t touch the pain. Been seeing an osteopath

Is Sore Throat and Back pain related to ET?
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with ET, Calr mutation last year. I have been having sore throat and back pain since last year that keeps coming back. But the back pain is not as often as the sore throat. Checked it’s not Covid-19. My Gp seems to think that it could be related to ET. Just wondering if anyone

Hip, groin & pelvic pain
Hi, I recently had a laparoscopy a week ago due to having hip pain in both hips and down my thighs. pain in my pelvis, in my groin on both sides and also cramping and stretching pain where my c section scar is. They found adhesions above my belly button but said the cause of my pain is constipation.

Optical nerve block steroid injections in head, side effects
Hi all, A week ago I had my first steroid injections in my head for my chronic headaches and dizziness. I was told about possible side effects, but this is beyond what I anticipated: 1. Two days after the injections i started having severe headache (literally 9,5/10) where I ended up in bed for 2 full
