I had my booster and flu jab at same time a week ago. Booster was Pfizer and original 2 Covid jabs were astra zeneca. I had asked gp to have flu and Covid booster separately. I went to surgery 2 weeks ago for a booked flu jab and blood test that was 6 months overdue. On arrival I was told flu jab had not been signed off a GP and the nurse I was booked with was no longer available. I was told to get a flu jab at a vaccination centre. Very unhappy. So I went to vac centre last week and had both at same time. Within 6 hours I felt quite unwell. I thought it would pass in a few days. That night I spent the whole night absolutely freezing cold. Pain all over. Bones hurt. Flesh hurt. Teeth hurt. Hair hurt!! It was horrible. I was so cold it was like little knives stabbing me all over. Massive headache and stomach cramps/lots of time on the loo. No painkillers worked. I finally managed to get some sleep between 7am and 9am. Each day since it has lessened a little until now, a week later I am feeling pretty rubbish. The least of the symptoms is that the Covid jabbed arm is hugely swollen and painful.
I am HYPOthyroid and have COPD and lots of other health issues that I won't list here today but suffice to say I am not a very well person generally.
I am annoyed that GP engineered NOT giving me my flu jab separately as agreed. I said to hubby the night before the flu jab appointment that I was sure something would go wrong for that flu jab appt. And it did! As I improve a little each day I know I will eventually feel better than this but I am now dreading future Pfizer boosters. I was nowhere near as unwell after the 1st 2 astra jabs. I had a dead arm for about 4 months after those and flu type symptoms for a few days after.
