Don't know what to do!
My wife finished
Radiotherapy
for S.C.L.C 2 weeks ago. She had 8 shots to the head and 20 to her lung. Over the last 2 weeks she has stopped eating due to pain and being sick and sleeps about 20 hours a day. Her fluid intake is minimal also.

Rain check on the prayers
They've mentioned
radiotherapy
, explaining that immuno is a very unreliable method of treating the brain because of the brain barrier. They're shelving the Prem for now too as it's clearly not agreeing with me.

An inhalable nanoparticulate STING agonist synergizes with radiotherapy to confer long-term control of lung metastases
Immunotherapy is providing tremendous promise in the new era of cancer treatment. Checkpoint inhibitors and adoptive T cell transfer therapy have shown improved survival in melanoma, non-small-cell lung cancer, and renal cell cancer patients1,2. However, only a fraction of patients benefit from immunotherapy

Is there a link between gamma knife treatment and Myeloma ?
She has now been diagnosed with Myeloma, so my question is, has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know if there is a link between having several x/rays, CT scans,
radiotherapy
etc and getting Myeloma - or other cancers ? Many thanks Alan R

Still more bumps in the road
My oncologist is hoping the immunotherapy will sort out the mets in the brain preventing the need for
radiotherapy
but it will still be there as an option if needed. I'm on Pembrolizumab by the way.

Drugs to reduce radiation effects
I was thinking that
Radiotherapy
does the same organ damage as a radiation exposure ..... Why cant we use same drugs as employed for protecting radiation exposure like Chernebyl or any other radiation exposure...... Seems like URI Protein C Thbd play a role.....

I Simply Don't Understand...
I love this group and enjoy contributing to it. Yeah, I've been a bit of a one-trick pony, as anyone who's seen my posts can attest to. I keep harping on the necessity for utilizing either my own ED device the Loop, or especially now, the new dynamic duo, FDA-tested Giddy and Xialla, for effectively

Recurrent Adenocarcinoma is now Stage IIIB
So I was scheduled to begin radiation on 11/18, but the week before, I reported pain in upper chest and back and some dysphagia along with a cough. A PET scan revealed a new lymphadenopathy above my clavicle. Also a suspicious mass-like growth above and adjacent to the very hypermetabolic subcarinal

Searched here for "Embelin" and found nothing
Yet, Embelin or Vidanga sounds interesting. 1) "Embelin-Induced Apoptosis of Human Prostate Cancer Cells Is Mediated through Modulation of Akt and β-Catenin Signaling" (2015). "... Embelin, isolated as the active component of the fruit of Embelia ribes Burm, is one of the important small molecular inhibitors
