Is there a link between gamma knife treatment and Myeloma ?

My wife had GK about 18 months ago, which went well and she seemed okay. However, for the last three months she had been short of breath and unable to keep up with me when walking (she often outpaced me in the past). She has now been diagnosed with Myeloma, so my question is, has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know if there is a link between having several x/rays, CT scans, radiotherapy etc and getting Myeloma - or other cancers ?

Many thanks

I've had the Stereotactic Radiotherapy for an Acoustic Neuroma 3 years ago. I've had lots of MRI scans and CTs but not noticed anything yet.

Hi I had stereo tactic in Jan 18 and almost quarterly / half yearly mris for around 3 years, this subject had always been on my mind although I am various groups, I haven't actually heard of any connection. But who really knows, were exposing ourselves to something not natural. I wish your wife well.

I think yours is the right answer - "who really knows" - sadly, the Myeloma finally got her and she died in November 2020.
