Rain check on the prayers

Hi all

I arrived in London on Thurs and was having a lovely time, if a bit tiring, and got really bad headache, nausea and became extremely breathless in the wee hours. So I'm now in the North Midflesex hospital - swelling on my brain again. Back on on steroids but only 8mg by IV this time. Have had x-ray and CT scan, MRI booked for tomoz. They've been in touch with my local hospital too to get copies of Tuesdays CT scan - they don't have access here!?

They've mentioned radiotherapy, explaining that immuno is a very unreliable method of treating the brain because of the brain barrier. They're shelving the Prem for now too as it's clearly not agreeing with me. I know there are other options as many of you had different drugs to me so I'm not overly concerned.

So we didn't make it to Lourdes. I'm gutted of course but better for this to happen in UK than France. I will go another time and say prayers here in the meantime. X

Dear Aamar

So sorry to hear you did not get to Lourdes and that you ended up in Hospital, but as you say perhaps good to be at home in the UK to get your symptoms attended to. Hope the steroids will make you feel better soon and reduce the swelling.

If you are able to access this we have information about Radiotherapy to the brain and this is the link: roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...

You have been on quite a journey Aamar and we do wish you all the very best.

As always our nurse led helpline number is 0800 358 7200

Kind regards
