Drugs to reduce radiation effects

I was thinking that Radiotherapy does the same organ damage as a radiation exposure .....

Why cant we use same drugs as employed for protecting radiation exposure like Chernebyl or any other radiation exposure......

Seems like URI Protein C Thbd play a role.....

It should be interesting to share this knowledge and apply it during RT

I did not find any reliable info regarding this

Sounds like a good line of inquiry.

I'm about 1/2 way through mine and the only effect I see so far is lack of energy. I'd be reluctant to take much of anything for it - much less high powered radiation drugs.

Because that is the OPPOSITE of what you want to do when you get radiation THERAPY. The last thing you want to do when you get therapeutic radiation is protect the cancer from radiation.

a simple logic..but true..;sure

I was wondering and laughing like chinese bodhi dharma myself about this paradox....

What I meant was how to nourish the damaged good cells....

May be by nourishing good cells you feed also cancer cells....

You have any opinion regarding Probiotics....

I read a lot about supplement stuff but am more tuned to your mind set...

though not excluding diet, exercise and some well verified grand mother supplements....

Thanks from all of us having you around.....

I was on stage 2 ( intermediate ) and l chose proton therapy ( treatment) and so far l haven’t looked back or regret what l have done l had no side effects from the protons

No lack of energy in fact l feel so much better if l went back to the time before the treatment my life was a misery and a pain from always wanting to go to the toilet —

Hope this helps you to decide which path you want to take— oh and one last thing l

had my treatment in Prague so much cheaper than in the states and the team are

very experienced polite and so helpful

Good luck for the future

RT is so precise these days that there is little fear of collateral damage.
