Breast surgery after radiotherapy
Has anyone had surgery after having
radiotherapy
on their breast. I am faced with this dilemma so am interested to find out how things went, did you heal ok. Good/bad results cosmetically? Any problems. Anything else you can share would be most helpful. Many thanks

PSA after Salvage Radiation
Hi guys! I had a prostatectomy in July 2015 and my PSA fell to around .04 following surgery. It has steadily increased over 5 years to .42. I have had a PSMA scan and nothing shows up. In December I decided to go ahead with Salvage Radiation Therapy and completed my 39th treatment in early February

Fatigue
My worry is that it’s not the
radiotherapy
, but the cancer causing her to feel so fatigued. Is it possible to experience fatigue as bad as this from the
radiotherapy
?

Radiotherapy Bleeding
Hi everyone, My dad is is currently half way through palliative
radiotherapy
on his prostate. He said he's started to see blood on the tissue when he wipes. He says sometimes only a bit then other times a bit more. The radiologist said this is about par for the course at this stage.

Wish me luck,
Start my whole brain
radiotherapy
on Monday. Looking at this board it seems I am going to be exhausted for a couple of months. Not looking forward to wearing the mask either, as I am very claustrophobic 😢

Metastasis Directed Therapy (MDT) is here to stay for Oligometastatic Patients !!! Part(1) SABR/SBRT
From the article below: The effect of
radiotherapy
on the immune system is also an area of interest with the promise of using SABR to induce an in situ vaccine response.20,31 We observed enhanced differential clonotype expansion, clusters of similar expanded T-cell receptors, and a clinical benefit

My Mum
I know she had LC and there was no cure, but it was a terrible shock as she’d only just finished a course of
radiotherapy
and was due to start second-line treatment last week. I cannot believe I have lost her and my heart is broken. None of it seems real.

Diet advise to beat rectal cancer
I have had two doses of the chemotherapy treatment already, and still have others including
radiotherapy
scheduled. I would like to know if there are things to eat, and diet changes to be made to support the defeat of the disease. Thank you for your help!!

Chronic Radiation Enteritis Sufferer
I had
radiotherapy
in 1996 for cervical cancer. For many years I have suffered bouts of bloating, nausea, cramps, diarrhoea and constipation. I put it down to ibs and so did doctors until last year it had got worse and I’d started to lose weight , my symptoms more frequent.

Dexamethasone and Enzalutamide
Dad is currently undergoing
radiotherapy
on his lower spine due to compression. They have also prescribed him dexamethasone. I have read there is a moderate interaction meaning that it decreases effectiveness of the Enzalutamide. Does anyone know of this and should it be of concern?

There are no scintigraphic signs of distal progression elsewhere 08.February 2021, PSA 0.53 I go to the oncologist again to see if he will recommend
radiotherapy
to me. What do you think if you do
radiotherapy
of the whole pelvis or target metastases?

Running during radiotherapy? Is it possible?
Anybody have any experience of running during
radiotherapy
? I am starting
radiotherapy
in about 10 days, and was wondering if anybody has managed to keep running during treatment, or were just too knackered?

Keytruda and Guillain Barre Syndrome
After various false starts, it has been confirmed that the Immunotherapy treatment with Keytruda has been the cause of my GBS event in January. I'm off immunotherapy forever now. Just learned today that my lung tumor has grown and is getting close to my airway. Looking at possible radiation treatment

When to start salvage radiation therapy
When to start salvage radiation therapy Just a quick question. I have found different psa values recommended to start salvage radiation therapy.Apparently to my understanding the earlier the better. I found different numbers ranging from 0,03 to 0.2 with a huge difference in relapse free survival

PET scan / Cancer has returned
Just been for PET scan get results next Wednesday when I see my oncologist he did mention after the CT scan results that
Radiotherapy
was the option this time. Last time I had cancer I felt optimistic not sure how I'm feeling this time. Has the cancer come back!! and where is it this time.

HIPEC
It is in an awkward position and 6 months of standard chemo has had little effect and they’ve had to lower the dose of
radiotherapy
for fear of burning a hole in his bowel.
