Hi bev, can't wait for sunshine and possibly be ablecto leave this house, as much as I like it im fed up with it . Cant help with nodes after treatment but my lung nodules have shrunk, the liver spot has gone and I'm left with dull and shinny spots in the belly fat pads. Dont know what it is I had 6 phones calls yesterday evrn the mdt Nottingham called . This morning I've been summoned to oncology on Thursday. Bit quick but I won't panic., wish I could help bev lifes a bitch and then some. Take care of you jane x
Hey Jane,Thank you for your supportπΉI know it's difficult to answer some things. It's great your lung nodules have shrunk! I can't remember if you had Radiotherapy or chemo, but I think they always use both methods, except I didn't get the chemo. Let me know how you get on after Thursday appointment or I'll prompt you afterπ€Have a great day, its sunny here and t gr e daffodils are reaching outπ€β€β€β€πππ½
Hi bev, what a week chemo yesterday 1 3 mile round trip 6 hours on drips, today 80 mile round trip but I think positive info at last. The petscan showed highlighted spots from shoulders to feel , after examination he found one nose under my arm so going for biopsy at least I'll know if its csncer or not. If not I'll get a petdcan evetyv3 months but as the spot has gone thankfully no operation.. wo knows what's round the corner. His next words floored me when he said I think all this is psoriatic...I have psoriasis since age 7, and then the arthritis. Treated with cyclosporin and methotrexate gold etc. Hopefully this is what I'm dealing with 2 years later and loads of worry. Not much help to you bev , but do take care and hope fir some good news . Janeπ΄ββοΈ
Hey Jane,Poor exhausted you!! Why are you having so much chemo? How many highlighted spots? They never seem to give you anything positive about what you have. I expect to hear no good news, but would be nice if I have the chance to challenge my cancer not just be too late! I hope you get some really great news soon. I go on Tuesday 16, next week for Pet scan, hate them, but what can you do, no peace for the wicked! I hope you'll have a great weekend and let's touch base next week, always happy to hear from you, Jane, big hugs, peace and love, Bevβ€πβ€ππΉπΉπππ½π€
Hi bev, busy week here done most of it in wheelchair, I need answers but i honestly think we are playing silly sugars. You say me off when you asked why so much chemo, i still dont know but cycle11 this Wednesday . Today I've had ultrasound biopsy results in 10 days. How did your appt go, everything is so wearing the truth is all i need. Still cold on the coast boiler jumping off the wall, hopefully summer will be hot. Have a good weekend jane
Hey Jane, good morningβπ€Sorry I'm so late in replying, I'm going through the mill a bit, tests again tomorrow. Same as you ultrasound biopsy, Tuesday 30th at 8am, then other tests I don't mind I'm hoping they will find something soon as they can, because I'm a bit unwell, noticing the effects of cancer, somewhere other the ones confirmed. I hope you get some clarity soon, Jane, the waiting on results is the soul-killer. I am thinking of you and send you huge hugs and love. Speak to you soon, hugs be safeβ€ππΉπ€ππΎπΉπ
Life's a bum that's for sure. I have to wait for biopsy results till 15th April, then what diagnosis seems like pie in the sky. Stop moaning Jane, move on. Take care bev hope your news is good or bearable. I'll be in touch. Janeπ·
Hello Snowdrops,So nice of you to reply. The thing is, I've exhausted all these web sites and links and gone further. The nodes don't gave to do with my breast cancer, would have been better! The lung cancer has possibly thrown out its tentacles to the lymph nodes in my thorax, in my chest, so that I cannot have my breast cancer operation now. It's a very tricky thing, therefore I asked for personal experience for enlarged nodes, but forgot to mention they're in my chest. And as I'm not feeling well, I'm expecting the worst.
You welcome Bev! And stay persistent with getting an answer for this please!!! On the Macmillan website you can also call them or chat online with them!! I would try that! πβ€οΈπ€π£οΈ
Well I have a hospital examination tomorrow early morning around 9 am!
I am praying after the biopsy, it will be nothing serious when I get my results back in 3 or 4 weeks time!
Christiane, yes! Life hits you with a hammer, often, for me all at onceπ€ͺπ€But some or lots of 'outbreaks' are simply benign! I too, s ht all send up prayers. Love, Bev β€πππ½
Thanks so much Alberta! Feel a bit rough after my biopsy and had a sleep at home! Glad it was all females, consultans and nurse! They brought Appointment forward so went early this morning! Results in 3-4 weeks!
I am thankful though! It shows we all have health problems! It's a tough call when you get told something is very wrong with your health!
My step mum had stomach cancer! And we are all glad she's alive! But stomach was removed! Was tough on my dad as well! But they got through it together!
I am think it's really important, that we all find that support from family, friends and professionals! ππ
Hi Carole,Yes!! Always great advice and support. I look to 'here' sometimes for the personal experiences, with the hopes of hearing positivity, chance, luck, kindness, understanding. Especially now when some of us only see their own house and the insides of hospital walls and no familiar face or hand to hold. These are what we need to accept our situation better and to draw strength in the familiar to help us survive....to not be so anxious and afraid..
Hugs to you bothπ€π€π
Hi GA
I would suggest contacting the Macmillan nurses at your local hospital or the hospital that carried out the radiotherapy. Macmillan also has an online community which may be able to help as well.
Yes, I think you need to talk to the clinic for advice, I only know about lymph breast cancer drainage, and unsure what would be the best procedure in your individual case. Sure hope you can make contact with some who can advise you appropriately.
Thanks Bkin,Where once I thought Wythenshawe was a good hospital for Respiratory they have proved to be slow, forgetful, rigid and unhelpful. I'm chasing up, personally, a Pet scan, the same as I did for my lung CT after radiotherapy, had I not done that, I'd still be waiting until the middle April, to find out 'earlier' that I have a grave problem with chest lymph nodes. 2greys told me to chase up my 'Oncologist' only to find out he wasn't responsible for me, but Wythenshawe!??π€Had it not been for 2greys advice I may have known nothing, until they tell me it's not curable and once again these people are for me, second rate 'professionals'
Ah Snowdrops, yes, that will be worrying for you! I had the same and they promptly took everything out, as a precaution possibly! I will be thinking of youβ€, let me know. Loads of hugs for tomorrow π€π€π€π€π€π€ad infinitum ππΉπΉπΉπΉ
Definitely ππ and you stay persistent and get some answers for these lymph nodes!!!! Try and contact your previous consultant who treated you when you had lung cancer! I definitely would pull every lever πππππ
Thank you Snowdrops, lovely support! I will remain persistent and you too, positive and sunny, that has kept me going for two yearsπ€ππΉβ€ππ½
Thank you Bkin!πβ€οΈ Went for blood pressure test and it was okay, nurse was happy! Requested print out from previous blood test in November! Still borderline diabetic! Hardly eaten sweets in Lockdown and sticking to that! Well have to get this down!
Don't want any more medication, as doctors love to pump you full with them!
Gonna rest for a bit Bkin and hope Gingerapple gets some answers soon as well! Life! Wished I be 22 again! ππβ€οΈπ And thanks for caring!!!π
Nothing useful to add spicy fruit Bev,just a virtual hug from a skinny Ski's and a sloppy paw from an overfed cat and confirmation that yes Wythenshawe are now an officialy crap hospital and have been since the first lockdown, shame as their previously excellent references and reputation made me choose them in the first place.:(Please google no longer, you have done all the research you can do and hopefully your oncologist will provide those answers and treatment in the very near future.
Thank you Ski's and Scruff's π I follow you good advice and stop googling and wait the Pet scan just heard from Christie's on 16th March, and send you both love and respect and wait out the results of such. Thanks Ski's πππ₯π
Just wanting to send you lots and lots of sheepy hugs πππππ π My sheep may not be able to answer your questions (neither can I unfortunately) but they can give an abundance of woolly hugs π€ Thinking of you dear Spicy Other Bev π
