codeine
hi everyone, I’ve always had bad anxiety and in last few years slipped into taking codeine when struggling. Now can’t stop (I just buy it over counter with ibuprofen) - between 9 -16 pills a day averagely. I want to stop but get more anxious when I try. Anyone have this? Anyone have any tips to help

worried about weight gain
Hi this is the 3rd time I've had graves disease in 9 years! I'm just wondering if my consultant will try to push me to have RAI this time as I was told I couldn't be on medication too long or often last time. Also I've worked really hard this year to lose lockdown weight & I'm worried about gaining

RAI and its effects on fertility
My daughter has finally received results of blood test by consultant 22 July. This result also contains information on fertility. She had RAI December last year to treat hyperthyroid. I hope I can copy and paste result here and not too long. Rx hypothyroid planning fertility Rx Sample 0022A379895

A long post - How medication was ruining my life, not making me better! Reassurance for anyone concerned about stopping medication.
Hi ladies. A very Happy New Year to you all! I am hoping that 2023 treats you all with improved health and a wealth of happiness. I have seen a lot of posts recently appearing on my feed regarding treatments and hormones, and so I just wanted to share my recent experience of stopping all treatments.

Been very hard to find a suitable multi-vit
I have been here long enough now to realise that I need only very select vits/mins in high quality and the right doses and absolutely do not need a ton of stuff that ordinarily gets put into the std packages eg iodine / iron/E/A/boron /B plus the rest etc etc But as I try to save packaging and costs

Can you relate?
I’ve just signed up and written my bio, and wondered if there were ppl here that can relate? I’ll copy and paste it below :) From when I started my period the pain levels were beyond anything anybody I met or spoke with had experienced. Every month I have to take each day I’m on my period: 3,200mg

Newbie here. My experience
Had
Radioactive
iodine
therapy (RAI) after many years of ups and downs with Graves disease (hyperthyroidism). It's been almost four years since I've had RAI and I feel better being on this side of the battle (hypothyroidism).

Still not running 😐
So, a few people have asked how I am and if I'm feeling better.Thank you . Basically the answer I'm afraid is no ! Some will know as I have mentioned it before but I have suffered with sinus problems pretty much all of my adult life (And that's quite some time 😐) This particular episode started on 27th

Managing endometriosis / adenomyosis pain during treatment.
I am currently on Buserelin and Estrogen Patches in prep for my FET first week of Jan. Prior to this I had Prostap for 8 weeks and it really helped with my pain. Towards the last week of the Prostap I could tell my pain was increasing and since starting the other medication it has gotten worse. I

Anagrelid to Interferon and Hashimoto.
I’m seriously thinking of changing from Anagrelid to interferon. I’ve always had heart palpitations from Anagrelide. All doctors to date said no interferon (I have Hashimoto) and no HU ( I have inborn anaemia). When I tried it once, I had nasty neurological side effects. Now I found a new MPN

Why is my TSH increasing?
I had my thyroid removed in Jan 2020 due to thyroid cancer and had RAI in June 2020. Since June 2020 my levothyroxine dose has stayed the same. My TSH has always been below range my levels are been suppressed due to cancer. My last blood test at GP surgery showed my TSH has increased to 0.43 from 0.22

Gabapentin not working?
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this? I used to be on Ropinerole and moved to Gabapentin over the course of the summer. I’ve been up to 1800mg a night (5pm, 7pm, 9pm) for the last couple of months and still finding RLS a problem. The pattern is often this - when I go to bed I wait to see I can

Hashimoto's and CT scan with Iodine Containing Contrast Materials
I had a CT scan in August. No one warned me that this would involve an IV with an Iodine Containing Contrast solution. No one had any idea how this would affect me with regard to thyroid levels. In other words, I encountered the usual apathy with regard to being a thyroid patient and what my needs
