dexa scan whilst on pred?
Not sure I will get a response to this question from you good people on here before the GP rings. I was never offered a dexa scan before being issued with adcal. Is is too late to have one now? I have been on them since February 2023 and wondered if there is any point asking for one.

Incisional Hernia
Hi It has been two years since my Hysterectomy and I was told yesterday I have a Hernia from the operation. My oncologist said they wouldn’t do anything about it unless it started to cause me problem or interfering with the bowel. I have read that if you had a repair and then a reoccurrence where you

Still no joy from Doctor 🤦
After sending my private blood results to Dr refused to increase levo had phone appointment, kept insisting TSH suppressed & danger of osteoporosis. I tried to keep calm to explain my thoughts & where I'd research my information. Dr then asked which lab I'd used & where was it..... Quite upset/annoyed

Low psa, but have pca
Is there anyone else out there who had a normal PSA,but has prostate cancer. After MRI showing a lesion and in biopsy they see two spots of Gleason 6 cancer, one in each side of prostate. Even though it's a Gleason 6, urologist at top teaching hospital in Philadelphia says I need a radical prostatectomy

Scared of GnRH as symptoms include osteoporosis, alopecia and hot flashes. Endo and fibroid.
I've been diagnosed of fibroid, endo and dermoid cyst. Gyna suggested surgery but must take GnRH for 6 months pre surgery to avoid blood loss and eventually hysterectomy. I'm 29. GnRH side effects scares me - alopecia osteoporosis depression weight gain. I'm a very active person, an artist and marketing

Overweight with a high BMI
I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis with bowel and bladder adhesions and cyst's on both ovaries. My consultant is really good, however he has specified that I need to get my BMI down to 35 or below before I'd be considered for a full hysterectomy (I've already waited over three years for one)

Adenomyosis diagnosis
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis last September after suddenly starting to flood during menstruation which I initially put down to being perimenopausal (late 40s). I was sent for an array of tests and advised to have the mirena coil inserted. I had the coil inserted and was diagnosed with

t12 and calcium supplement
I have got severe osteoporosis and I am wandering if I would be better off with a calcium supplement, I tried adcal-d3 after my zoledronic acid infusion but I had to stop because it gave me constipation, I don't want to be messing about measuring out calcium and I don't know if I am absorbing calcium

Hysterectomy
Hello. I hope you are having a peaceful Saturday. I wanted to ask for advice from any of you that have had, or have considered having, a hysterectomy for Endo. I am at the stage where we are considering this as my next move but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there. I am 35. Thank

Hi all, I got some private tests done (attached) and I have to say I’m surprised as they seem to point to me being hyperthyroid but have all the symptoms of hypo. Can someone explain to me please? Other tests done recently were: B12 - 240 - I have pernicious anaemia and am getting B12 injections off

Fatigue after cervical cancer 2019
Hey,I've been really struggling to manage my fatigue post treatment (
radical
hysterectomy
, brachy, radio, chemo). Even though my treatment finished 3 years ago, fatigue is an ongoing issue. I've handed this over to my healthcare team, who are sympathetic, but are limited I in what they can offer.
