Scared of GnRH as symptoms include osteoporosis, alopecia and hot flashes. Endo and fibroid.

I've been diagnosed of fibroid, endo and dermoid cyst. Gyna suggested surgery but must take GnRH for 6 months pre surgery to avoid blood loss and eventually hysterectomy. I'm 29. GnRH side effects scares me - alopecia osteoporosis depression weight gain. I'm a very active person, an artist and marketing professional. Very active on LinkedIn and I don't want to lose my self drive. I need help. Who has gone through medical menopause before? How did you react to GnRH? Did you suffer these symptoms? Are there better options for me? How long before my body gets back to being fertile after menopause.? I'm so scared. Please help

You have been given a lot to take in. Please don’t be scared or worried. I have Endo and ovarian and cervical cysts and have had treatment for pre cancerous cells twice. I have had Zoladex 4 times in 19 years. I also had add back hrt everytime. Without the hrt the hot flushes were awful. The first 3 times I had tablets this time it’s patches. I’m now on Prostap instead of zoladex as it didn’t work this time for me. My hair is fine, my bones are fine, the risk with bones is only if you have Zoladex without the hrt. Even then it’s a very tiny risk. You’re more likely to have low mood from what you’re going through and if you’re an active person weight gain shouldn’t be an issue. I got pregnant in between zoladex and surgeries sadly our little ones weren’t meant to be but it can and does happen even after all we go through. If your GP is supportive have a conversation to see if they will help you work through the options. Good luck.
