Period pain, hysterectomy yesterday
Hi ladies I had a hysterectomy yesterday and I've had severe period pain since. I have stage four endometriosis, I had my ovaries and tubes removed too. My bladder was heavily involved and I've not been able to pee since so have a catheter. I just wondered those who had a hysterectomy, did you have

Hypogonadism & upgrading of low-risk PCa.
New meta-analysis below [1]. By now, the association of low testoterone with more serious PCa has been established IMO. (But I continue to post on such to counter the old "fuel on the fire" belief.) Upgrading means that the pathologist, after radical prostatectomy [RP], found more serious cancer than

ADHD sis-in-law also very angry
Hi everyone~ Just as my own life is improving my brother is having MAJOR ISSUES with wife. She has ADHD and takes ritalin (don't know dosage) and is very angry. She's not doing anything active to help ADHD other than her medication (which she also stopped for a couple of months.) A couple of weeks

When to take medication?
Hello PMR people, an update on my Pred doses - I went up to 10 for just a week then dropped back to 5 but was in pain again so went up to 7 again, I’m staying with it for now as it’s working and I’m not too bad. Will try to reduce in a few weeks. I am so annoyed because I was doing so well on 5 before

Repeat anterior repair follow-up.
Two months ago, following repeat anterior repair, I wrote that I feared surgery had failed as I could feel a fullness at top of vagina despite taking care in what I was doing. I hoped it might be post-op swelling. I did have an appointment with gynaecology physiotherapist but as this appointment had

MRI
I have a pelvic MRI this Wednesday. I was shown pics of the endo they found in my abdomen two weeks ago. I'm scared of what they'll find. The doctor has already said he will likely do excision but may need to go for a lap hysterectomy. I'm not convinced surgery is the answer at all.

1 year post hysterectomy
I had a full hysterectomy 1 year ago, saved one ovary so could avoid hrt but it pretty much died within a few months so started hrt in around Oct. Was fine for a good few months but in last month or so feel absolutely awful! So bad off work at moment as the migraines are unreal, having bowel issues yet

Please advise?
I am 65, have a benign cyst on an ovary which has been there at least 18 months. The consultant wants me to have a full/total hysterectomy (am in UK so that means total). I am unsure if I should agree as worried about totally losing oestrogen, and some stuff I've heard and read about how you have a

How does PCa affect Venous Thromboembolism risk?
New study below [1]. In Sweden, PCa isassociated with a ~50% increase in the risk of a deep vein thrombosis [DVT] or pulmonary embolism. This is much lower than some studies have reported, e.g.: "In a larger study from the UK using linked primary care, secondary care and National Statistic Cause of Death

Contradicting silly doctors' parrots
