Hysterectomy is now shortened to a maximum of two month wait š š¤ it enables me to walk againšš
Got the amazing news I'm finally getting my hysterectomy a lot quicker given all treatment is failing and I can't walk. I'm super excited about hopefully getting at least some of my life back today has been emotional (again) but I really really can't wait for recovery to be completed successfully and

Post op blues
Iām nearly 4 weeks after a full complete hysterectomy. Iām on my own with no support. Iāve no friends or family members and havenāt been able to make any healthy connections no matter how much Iāve tried. My mood is going down hill fast. If it continues to I will get in touch with my doctor.

Over a year and a half since my hysterectomy and Iāve just been given a consent form for an oopherctomy with tube removal or cystectomy. Only Iām not supposed to have any ovaries or tubes :( thereās a cyst growing from somewhere and ever though Iāve had all the scans they still canāt tell where. Really

Keep the cervix? Private care?
Hi everyone, What a lovely forum, thanks for all your posts, they are so informative. I am on the waiting list for total abdominal hysterectomy (due to ten fibroids), and I'm awaiting confirmation on whether laparoscopic surgery is possible for me. Due to covid, the waiting list is very long and I'm

Another query?
Just a thought. Yet another one. Can anyone out there help, I would be really grateful. After all these years still constantly looking for answers to my pain. Along with fibro, underactive thyroid, kidney disease and irritable bowel, plus all the other extras we get, has anyone experienced interstitial

First phone visit with academic hospital on my biochemical recurrence post robotic radical prostatectomy (University of Wisconsin - Madison)
Met with Dr. David Jarrard from UW Madison today over the phone. He is recommending the Axumin scan and I will most likely proceed with that as my next step. UW Madison has a similar perspective to my local urologist (Dr. Robert Vlach at the Wisconsin Institute of Urology) of having the scan, and then

Just finished first meeting with radiation oncologist. What he proposed as next steps
Given my PSA of ".38" 22 months following robotic radical prostatectomy and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin). I have my first call with a urologist from an academic hospital

35 years on... ovarian cyst or what?
Hi everyone, I am new here and I guess I am in need of help and support through my uncertainty and fear and constantly wondering if I will get to my appointment in three days for my results. Summarizing, I had a hysterectomy in 1985 to improve my constant back pain that I had endured for five years.

PSMA Scan Availability
I had a radical prostatectomy in July 2015. My PSA has been rising since that time and my oncologist recommended I wait until it reached .5 and get a PSMA scan. This was after I had started hormone therapy to prepare for salvage radiation, but the side effects were unbearable. My PSA is now .41 and

Should I get a second opinion?
Six years ago I had a hysterectomy but at the beginning of August I woke up to find that I was bleeding. I saw my doctor who said I was full of blood but couldnāt see a source of where th bleeding was coming from. Iāve recently seen a gynaecologist who ahead a quick look and said there was nothing there

Meeting with a radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday.
Meeting with a local radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday. Quick recap - Robotic radical prostatectomy in Oct 2018. PSA has risen to .38 effective a couple of weeks ago. Decipher RP score was .37. Here are the questions I plan to ask them (they are not an academic clinic): 1. Do

Impact of Vasectomy on the Development and Progression of PCa: Preclinical Evidence
New study below [1]. A post on the possible influence of vasectomy on PCa development might seem like navel gazing at this point, but the subject continues to interest me. When the first "bad news" about vasectomy was published long ago, the reaction was unexpected. Rather than warn men about to be

Sitting Pain
I am 51 and was diagnosed at Mayo in January, after two years of multiple orthopedic docs, two spine surgeons, two pain clinics, various injections, a local rheumatologist who told me to get on with life (a female, surprisingly), an internist who wanted to send me to a month-long mental camp, and a boss
