New to RLS
Hi I'm new to this forum but think I have had RLS since my daughter was born 4 years ago. I had bad sciatica when pregnant but I'm not sure if there is a link. It mostly affected my right side and I get occasional hip spasms and infrequent excruciating cramps in my right calf at night. Now I get almost

Withdrawal from Sifrol.
Can anyone advise me please how long it would take to withdraw from Sifrol 1.25mg per day? I was on this dose for about 3 years and stupidly recently just stopped it (per advice from my new doctor) as I was commencing on Quinine. Needless to say the withdrawals have been murder for about the first

Cramp
How many of you with RLS also suffer leg cramps. I have quinine on prescription, take magnesium and calcium ,drink and much water as I can and often resort to bag of salty crisps yet I can have nights with no sleep due to cramp. Becoming exhausted as when the RLS is a little better then I seem to have

New to the group
Hi all, I have just joined as after years of poor sleep And not understanding why I think I have restless leg syndrome. For years I’ve had sensations in my legs that are hard to describe but inside my legs feels itchy like insects are crawling in them. I have tried everything I can think of to stop

Gall bladder pain
Finally a diagnosis which seems to fit with the symptoms. Was in freaking agony again today on a par with labour pains, but for longer than any of my labours...I was lucky with them. Anyway on the floor in A and E. was given plenty of meds by IV, fluids for dehydration I think, tramadol, buscopan and

Quinine
I am feeling very comfortable with this group so I will reintroduce myself with my real name, Sharron and I live in southern Ontario, Canada. I saw somewhere, in one of the strings a mention of Quinine. If I understood it correctly Quinine is a drug that can exasperate several health issues including

Quinine for leg cramps
Hi, I've just been prescribed Quinine for severe leg cramps, which I put down to Achilles tendonitis, and sciatica, I also have mild RLS. I have just taken my first tablet tonight, then decided to do some research (which I wish I had done first!) . And what I have found out has scared the life out of

Night Cramps torment
Hi to everyone. Does anyone have any suggestions to help relieve night cramps in both legs and feet? I am 63 years. I have endured these for the last 8 or 9 years and it seems to be getting worse. I am taking prescribed quinine every night, (breaking the course for a week every month) and cover my legs

On the 24th February I went to my GP as I had been experiencing 9 days of severe headache. As a migraine sufferer for the last 55 years it had taken a few days for me to realise that a) it wasn't diminishing in intensity and b) the pain and other symptoms were not associated with my usual migraine related

night time cramps
I was diagnosed with ET last year and take Hydroxicarbamide (x2 daily) and asprin. Recently I have been getting really bad cramp in calf and thigh, usually coming on in the early hours after a couple of hours sleep. Is this common? Is it anything to do with the ET and medication or just a coincidence

DVT meds a cause ?
Hi everbody I have experienced RLS in the past occasionally when over tired or on a plane (the latter being such a nuisance !), but recently it has affected me most nights causing me to get up and walk around up to 10 times, which as you all know leads to a bad nights sleep. I have led a normal life
