Hi all, I have had a multinodular goitre for years and its is now 9cm and affecting me quite a lot with head and neck pain, compressing windpipe etc and growing down - and I'm facing an operation in a couple of weeks as they say I must have it out as so large. I've put this off for years and elected

Endocrinologist open to Tirosint (t4) and t3 Medication in the UK
Hello! I am moving to the UK and am currently finding the optimal dose for hypothyroid using Tirosint (t4) and Cytomel (t3). If available: Please message me any endocrinologist recommendations who would help prescribe these medications in the London Area? And pointers of now to navigate receiving Tirosint

Strong fluoride toothpaste
Hi all. I have just been prescribed Duraphat toothpaste by the dentist, which contains 5000ppm of fluoride (as sodium fluoride). She wants me to use it once per day at bedtime and not rinse afterwards. I think I can remember something on here about too much fluoride having a negative effect with Hypothyroidism

10 years to live?
So I was at the Hemo/onco last week. I kind of jokingly asked him, "So do you think I will live another 10 years?", and he said "Maybe". Now before you get mad at him, he did, of course, quantify that no one knows, and no one can predict the course of the disease exactly yada yada BUT, he thinks

Starting T3
Hi all, I’ve been prescribed T3 starting at 2.5mcg three times a day with a view to increasing to 5mcg three times a day (building up to the three times a day by adding 2.5mcg at a time). The thyroid gp seems to think I may need more than that eventually. Feeling nervous about it.. Does this sound ok

Can you get Thybon Henning T3 on NHS?
Hi, I have been sourcing Thybon Henning T3 with a private prescription for a few years. (100mcg Levo with 5mcg T3). My Gp has now retired and new GP has referred me to friendly NHS Endo who has agreed to do a joint care plan with GP and prescribe T3 on NHS. Initial consultation suggested I change

Testing advice after trialling T3
Hi all, I’ve managed to stay on T3 for a while now and I’m getting ready to do a thyroid test. I take two doses of T3, one around 6am with my Levothyroxine and the second T3 dose at 2pm. If I do my test 8am I’d imagine it’s fine as far as the Levo is concerned but is this gap OK for the T3? And is

T3 suppliers?
Looking for online T3 supplier links. I believe Mexico has been suggested. I’ll take any reliable Ndt suppliers too, but can’t tolerate thyroid-s. Can only find T4 docs around me and since being off Ndt during the pandemic I have been greatly struggling. Thanks!

More questions about Omeprazole
As per my previous query, I am still experiencing diahorrea and regular leakages from the bowel. My recent poo tests showed abnormally high Faecal CalProtectin levels, 249 vs a normal score of under 50, indicator of a relatively high level of inflammation for which NICE guidelines suggest a referral

Which days for reduced dose?
I have been on 75mcg levothyroxine for over ten weeks with tiny improvements in some symptoms but a big increase in others. I am now suffering badly with anxiety, low mood, tearfulness, aversion to food, depletion of appetite. However my thyroid blood results are now ‘optimum’ - T4 21 T3 5.3 (more info
