Hi everyone , thank you to everyone who replied and offered advice on my last post . Especially Greygoose, Slowdragon and Pennyannie. I have had my appointment this afternoon I went armed with all the wise words and info . And yes she agreed I was undertreated by quite a bit and agreed to up my dose initially she was going to up it to 125 every day but I was brave and held my ground and said I wanted to have my T4 and T3 results at the upper end if range ! So she agreed to 150 and 125mcg alternate days for 8 weeks then retest . She agreed if I still didn’t feel right/optimal she could add T3to the mix . She has also agreed to test my vitamins and have a plan after I get those results . I was really pleased with how my appointment went and thank you guys for giving me the strength to speak up . She also gave me her Secretary’s number if I needed any help too 😊 hope I’ve done the right thing . Oh and she also mentioned that cortisol the stress hormone can cause my weight gain /difficulty in losing weight . I just need to find out how I stop stressing about family and stuff now 🙈 Thanks again

Regards

L

All I can say is "Congratulations!".

Remember, more than anything or anyone else, it was YOU who managed this.

But thanks to those whose replies helped.

And thanks for letting us know. Especially that your post will help support others.

Hey there again :

I just looked back to remind myself !!

Well done you - was this the same endo who took away your T3 some years ago ?

Excellent news - onwards and upwards - thanks for the shout out - woke me up !!

Hi Pennyannie thank you so much for your guidance and yes it was the same Endo but she was much more helpful this time . I did go in prepared for a fight and I stood my ground with her . I’m really feeling positive that this change is going to be good for me . Sorry to wake you up 🫣 x L

I was joking - I'm generally awake by 6 am !!

Had your post not been in the daily thyroid newsfeed I'd have probably taken until about now to find you again - and being noted in despatches is a 1st for me !!

You needed to prefix all our names with an ' @ ' directly - no space ' before our user names so that our names turn blue - which means we get a notification through our email address and our Alert Icon lights up directing us to said post.
