After 54 years of anxiety and panic disorder..
Now I'm trying to deal with overwhelming depression. I've been seeing a CBT therapist but his answers are pretty obvious: to increase social contacts (kinda hard during Covid and being 74 with no family other than my wife....it's not easy.) I still work at home but also being a caregiver to my disabled

My son is 16. He was diagnosed with ADHD at age 8 . I thought we had a handle on things until Covid struck and he was forced to be home working on a laptop. The stress of not being able to complete assignments and feeling lost and behind on work cause severe anxiety and depression. He did not want to

I was wondering how quickly after transplant the GFR starts showing some normalcy. From my blood test I had yesterday, thursday, I received the results and I was shocked to learn that the day of the surgery, my GFR was down to 8. So after the transplant on January 25th, my GFR is now 57! I am just

Pain clinic to psychologist to ot, what next I wonder?
So,physiotherapy referred me to the pain clinic, they couldn't do much for me so they referred me to the pain clinic. The pain clinic decided I needed to see a psychologist because I mention I was trembling from the inside out but it's only visible on my left side. Spoke with a very nice lady, who agreed

Therapy Anxiety
Hi again. I go to this therapist twice a week. The problem is he doesn't therapize me, new word. I was just crying and all he did was give me tissues. He was more interested in giving examples from his past about this and that. I am paying for him to help me and I do not feel he is aware of what to do

Struggling with few friends and how to make more
I’m 45 and have always struggled making and keeping friends and many of the reasons why didn’t become crystal clear until I started speaking to a therapist that specializes in ADHD. I’ve always been shy and socially anxious, which I always thought was the reason why nobody ever stuck around, but now

Self-therapy? Can't afford therapist, can't stand self-help.
I'm in an ugly position. Although I'm now "stable" on my meds, and they have been helping to an extent, I'm at the anger/frustration stage - having gone from a procrastinating, lazy, dishevelled slob to a moderately-okay-at-looking-after-myself kind of person, I'm now dealing with the realisation that

Good books on understanding ADHD for teenagers

She was doing great in school before the pandemic, but her grades dropped drastically in last two years and she has also developed a serious tech addiction. I spent hours explaining to
