Hi again. I go to this therapist twice a week. The problem is he doesn't therapize me, new word. I was just crying and all he did was give me tissues. He was more interested in giving examples from his past about this and that. I am paying for him to help me and I do not feel he is aware of what to do. I have to get a new therapist for twice a week before leaving this one.
I have therapy today.

Hi. He talks about himself?! Not good at all and pretty darn unprofessional. Could you tell him your concern?
I could. I am scared to hurt his feelings.
I hear you, but please don't be. He's a professional and should be able to handle it. My therapist always wants me to be honest and tell him if he's helping
I did get kinda pissed and say, I don't care, to some of the stories he was telling, and told him I am the one who feels the way I do. I will leave him.
Good for you! I hope it's easy to do that where you are?
CT has good resources, but therapists are full due to leaving during covid. Many left to open their own practices.
Maybe his practice could refer you to one?
