Has anyone ever tried Topiramate tablets, anti-epileptic medication before for hemiplegic migraine.
Is it worth risking some really serious conditions such as
psychosis
and ataxia. Mmmm I'm not convinced about this yet!

Did anyone else worry about the bond with their second child?
I found it very difficult to bond with my baby at the beginning as the onset of PP started more or less straight away after giving birth. I didn't really realise that I had had a baby as I was so poorly and the baby went to live with my partner and his mum for a few days. I still feel very guilty about

Can't find what you're looking for?
As this community grows, I realise it's getting harder to quickly find the info we're looking for. You can search on the tags (if they've been added to the posts) but for ease I've listed a few of the popular questions here. There have been some really excellent tips, responses & quality info so I'd

I wonder when Postpartum Psychosis will…..
Women with postpartum
psychosis
rarely harm themselves or their babies. …be identified early & correctly? Postpartum
psychosis
is an illness in its own right & has its own challenges & needs. It’s different from postnatal depression. …be out in the open?

Blue skies are coming: reflecting on faith and Postpartum Psychosis
This blog was written specifically for a Christian website on mental health, but I hope it resonates with people of different faiths and questions about spirituality. It's about what our communities can do to support us. And how maybe they sometimes let us down. http://www.mindandsoul.info/Articles

campaign for better services
I recently sent an email to my local MP to support me in campaigning for better perinatal services for women who have suffered from pp or pnd. I got a reply from him today and I am meeting him on 25th January. I would be very grateful if some ladies would not mind sharing their stories with me.

Advice re care plan/preventative medication for 2nd baby following PP
I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my second child. I developed PP following the birth of my son in 2009. The onset of PP was very quick. I was showing signs within about 3 days from the birth and was admitted to my local MBU unit within 7 days of the birth. I had had a traumatic labour experience

I also wonder if the extreme highs of my

& the lows of my depression afterwards heightened my senses so that I was affected far more by what I heard?

Any tips for a husband/dad in the early stages of PP?
Hello. We had our first child on 10/11/12. Delivery was traumatic (emergency c section, 3 litre loss of blood). But he is a wonder and doing well. However, my wife has had a number of what we now know to be psychotic episodes. Eventually on 19/11/12 she was admitted to a mother and baby unit after
