How common is post-operative delirium?
During the next few days after these operations, on 3 separate occasions I have had an episode of post-operative delirium/
psychosis
. I have no history of such a thing or does anyone in my family.

Peer support via video call
Hi all We’re really delighted here at APP that we can now start offering peer support via video call to women who have experienced postpartum
psychosis
. You would be paired with one of APP’s trained volunteer peer supporters, or one of our coordinators, who can chat with you over video call.

My thyroid inflamed and caused the
psychosis
. Currently not on any medication for my thyroid, but I’ll be on medicine for it and I shouldn’t go through a thyroid storm again! I weaned myself off my psychiatric drugs both times a few months after the
psychosis
occurred.

My Post-Partum Journey | People of HealthUnlocked - Meet Emily (Part 2)
The last article I wrote was about my initial week as I was admitted to the hospital for Postpartum
Psychosis
, and mostly about how people reacted or responded to my unusual behavior. I’m happy to report my relationships with my family members are good and strong.

I figured out finally that
psychosis
is also a type of depression. I'm like goodness gracious why can't there be less definitions? I was totally lost it when my brain wasn't attached to my body. Hearing of extremely distant items.

What to look for!
Her initial
psychosis
landed her in the hospital for just 2 days where they prescribed her Olanzapine, 15mg daily. It helped with mania almost immediately but of course came with other side effects.

APP social group in Wales
They meet in a cafe, and it's a very informal, friendly group, with no set agenda, for anyone affected by postpartum
psychosis
. It's such a great opportunity to meet others, make friends, and share experience.

Please help
So I have severe depersonalization /derealisation, depression & had a hint of
psychosis
. I feel like the woman I was has died. I can’t feel love, so I can’t feel love for anyone I know I should, had a baby 7 months ago. I’m numb, nothing brings me pleasure or joy.

Marriage struggling after PP
Hi, my husband is finding it very difficult to accept that how I was and what we all experienced was an illness, a diagnosis and not just me being horrible. Psychosis
is the worst. I have Bipolar Disorder, so I feel I have liberty to say this. I have had a couple manic episodes, but nothing can compare to the despair and embarrassment felt after PP.

Who can be prescribed medical cannabis
The main risks of THC cannabis products are:
psychosis
– there is evidence that regular cannabis use increases your risk of developing a psychotic illness such as schizophrenia dependency on the medicine – although scientists believe this risk is probably small when its use is controlled and monitored

I’m such a mess keeping it together when I want to scream be in my own
Being referred to early intervention team as first
psychosis
. The thing is I just want to be on my own drive somewhere in the woods have my own space so I can just sit and stare. It’s amazing how quickly time flys when you do this so I have to be careful and never fully get what I need.

OCD or Psychosis/Schizo?
I don't get any other symptoms of
psychosis
or anything. I mean I get my weird thoughts with OCD and do ritual stuff to prevent myself from getting the thoughts.

weaning olanzapine
Hi everyone so I have been taking Olanzapine after difficulties sleeping afterwards. It’s been over two months and am trying to come off it. I am currently taking 5mg but I want to stop it completely now. Does anyone have any experience about coming off Olanzapine? How can I wean off it safely?

PPP and the menopause
Dear Ladies. I have read somewhere that the symptoms of PPP can come back to haunt you during the menopause. Is that correct?

40 and wishing my life away
I had severe depression in my 20s then postnatal depression/mild
psychosis
a few years back I’m left with just a shell. I used to be so creative. I still get moments but I have to hide it because it just comes off bizarre.
