Recovery process
I have experienced a full blown Postpartum
Psychosis
in April 2019, 5 weeks following my daughters birth so we have, earlier this year, passed some significant anniversaries.

Delayed onset post-partum psychosis
Does anyone have any experience of delayed onset PP? My daughter was 6m when I got it but the doctors didn’t believe it could be that due to the age of my baby. My psychiatrist now believes that’s what I had but it angers me that the diagnosis was missed!!

Derealization??!?
I am constantly worrying that these sensations are the beginning signs of
psychosis
or simply me going insane. I’d rather have the good old symptoms I complained of in this discussion forum at this point! I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE THIS BEFORE!

psychosis
and paranoid schizophrenia 4 years ago after he was sectioned.. last year he came off his medication and since December we started to see small changes in him until recently since the lockdown when he has started to get paranoid again.

3rd pregnancy
They put my dates back by a week but I don’t mind. 5 weeks to go until 12 week scan and mood is already better than my last pregnancy maybe because I know this will probably be my last pregnancy and will be the last time I have to cope with gestational diabetes and the worry of whether I’ll get

Coming to terms.
The
psychosis
after my daughter was born was brought on by my GP giving me antidepressants. They sent me into
psychosis
. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar/PTSD, and now am reading all I can on the subjects.

anxiety or psychosis?
She told me I may be experiencing signs of paranoia and
psychosis
. Every psychologist and psychiatrist I’ve seen has told me I’ve had social anxiety. Even though she doesn’t specialize in mental health, I’m so scared I might be psychotic.

Post-partum psychosis and second pregnancy
I had my son 4.5 years ago and suffered PP. I was in a MBU for 2 months with my son and was able to breast-feed with their help. Since then I have had two manic/psychotic episodes, one adult mental health hospital admittance, and been diagnosed with bipolar. I have been well for about a year and a half

psychological assessments and postpartum psychosis
I believe my daughter developed postpartum
psychosis
after intrusive discussions with childrens services pre birth despite being logged that no psychological assessment should be completed 6 weeks prior/post birth. Where can I go for answers regarding this.

Cooking
How did you cope with cooking after
psychosis
, I find it really difficult to find both the motivation and the concentration. I am 4months out of hospital with PP. I am gaining weight and really need some help with quick easy healthy meals.

Doctor on BBC 1 today.
Watching, BBC 1 today programme Doctors.... about a new mum suffering from Postpartum
Psychosis
, little triggery, a happy sad feeling, but so so happy to see it there in the open. Awareness is out there at last.. kinda want to cry and laugh all at the same time.

Post-operative delirium/psychosis
These episodes of post-operative delirium/
psychosis
are not of just being a little confused but of such things as in complete terror, hallucinating and paranoia, trying to escape from the hospital.

GCA & COVID-19 Can Mimic Each Other
High-dose steroids can cause depression, aggression or frank
psychosis
so a telephone follow-up to check on their mood is useful if they are socially isolated. Medical complications include diabetes and hypertension – if they have a home blood pressure monitor, encourage them to use it.
