dilemma ADT duration
And managing my mood and anxiety can be problematic but the positive is a
PSA
of 0.01 for many months which I’m keen to exploit and I had in mind at least 18 months was worth a try. They say ultimately it’s my call and they will go with what I want.

Stempede with Ogrovyx + Abi.
Now, 9 years later my
PSA
went from .4 to .9 in 12 months. PSMA Scan shows a 5mm spot on a small pelvic node. No MRI or CT would have found this! Dr's. starting me on Org., 28 days of Radiation and Abi. The whole hormone therapy part has me spooked.

PSA: Medication Tracking App
Having been in a clinical trial these past four months, two things have been a problem: 1) I have to take several medications a day, some with varying doses and timing 2) The trial team has discouraged use of weekly pill dispensers/containers due to drug custody and safety issues This makes remembering

UPDATE: PSA doubled, MO has had little input
If you don’t recall, my dad’s
PSA
had gone up from 1.66 to 3.44 in about 2 months. His testosterone also went up from 6 ng/dL to 17. His MO did not speak to him about this nor did she check back at the results.

Xtandi (enzalutamide) alone is superior to ADT alone at preventing metastases in "high-risk" recurrent men
"High-Risk"recurrence was defined as men who have had primary therapy (prostatectomy or radiation) but have had rising
PSA
but no detectable (on bone scan/CT) metastases yet and T≥150 ng/dl, and: •
PSA
doubling time ≤ 9 months, or •
PSA
≥ 1 ng/ml post-prostatectomy, or •
PSA
≥ nadir+2 ng/ml post-primary

Low PSA producing PCa. MO discontinued Abi +Pred. Is this right?
Highest
PSA
at diagnosis and prostatectomy was 2.67. Started on Lupron right away. Abi and pred started when
PSA
went to .26 a year after surgery. We’re in Florida for a few months and went to Moffit for a second opinion. Doctor took him off abi and pred right away (he’d been on for 2 months).

SBRT without ADT
My Gleason score is 7 with
PSA
8.1. PMSA revealed no spread. Two lessons on prostate one positive and other negative. I will start 5 day radiation in about 10 days. I opt for 5 days over the 20 day option. Are there any pre and post steps you would advise? Any side effects?

ADT "vacation" terminology questions
Do you wait for rising
PSA
or a fixed time to go by? What about when one has oligometastatic mHSPC? How many posters here who are or were on ADT "vacations" did so by their own request or by MO's orders?

OT calcium in the LAD on PSMA scan.
I am 56 yo s/p RARP with negative margins 1/2014, now with BCR,
PSA
.21. My urologist recommended psma scan. The scan was normal except for “calcium vs stents in the LAD”, I don’t have stents. Have you all seen this? How commonly do these scans detect other diseases?

Knee Surgery and Xtandi
Xtandi has driven my
PSA
to Undetectable <.01 so I asked him the question, will this compromise my
PSA
in any way for two weeks? He said no, it should help you to heal and to get back on your feet after surgery.

Into the Great Unknown
At 57 when diagnosed (
PSA
5.2, Gleason 4+3, one affected pelvic lymph node per PSMA PET scan), our plan was to throw the kitchen sink at my PCa and see if we can’t knock it out.

Why do we stop treatment
I monitored my
PSA
every 3 months and it didn't move for the first 6 months, then at 9 months it was 1.0. I panicked and started with the ADT again.
PSA
responded and came down to .17 for a year then started climbing.

PSA and spinal growths
hi recently diagnosed with
PSA
but am being investigated for dysphasia and the consultant had commented could be due to bone growth at the front of my spine.

Fatigue BEFORE treatment (A bit of a rant)
It seems from the time you get the high
PSA
score something is hanging over your head. A month for MRI, hoping for good results. No. Another month for biopsy, worrying about results. Nope. Waiting a month for PSMA and worrying that it has spread. Finally good news there.

Update on my Estradiol experiment
I just posted this update to my profile: UPDATE: June 5, 2023: I am continuing to take Orgovyx and my most recent
PSA
was again. <.02 in April. Also in April, I restarted my experiment with Estradiol patches as a treatment for osteoporosis and ADT SEs. I started on one 0.25 patch twice per week.

ED No More (the prequel)
But low and behold - I had my last hormone shot 9 months ago, my
PSA
still holding as "undetectable " at 0.01 and my running returning to a comfortable 5K with much more aerobic capacity.

Latest Pylarify clear with PSA at 4
I had expected mets similar to my 1st one which was also run at a
PSA
of 4. BTW, the Axumin scan was clear at that time. I've been on an ADT/Zytiga vacation for about 18 months. My
PSA
did become undetectable for a while beforehand though.
